« I am sure this place was epic in the 70s. Now I am sure the only people that would like it would be in their 70s. Literally isn't anything to do after 4-6pm. « This is a throw-back to the days of the good old motor lodge. A tiki bar bar, for starters but a tiki bar with good local beer. A wonderful shaded pool area. Light switches that are self-evident and don't require an engineering degree to figure out. Instructions to housekeeping that are followed. You know what I am talking about. The one downside? The patio doors/balconies all face the setting sun, which leads to three hours a night of intense sunlight and heat in a non-air conditioned...

« Claudia is an amazing host!! She works so hard to bake breakfast and desserts from scratch for the guests to enjoy. There were always fruits available to snack on at all times which was nice. Everything was super clean!! Loved the quiet feel of the Trumpeter as it is about 10 min away from the chatter of the downtown Friday Harbor. Our favorite parts were feeding the goats and alpacas in the mornings and using the complimentary bikes to explore the island. »

« I rarely leave negative reviews, but I was very disappointed with our stay at Saturn Return. We paid nearly $400 per night after fees for a two-night stay and were very disappointed. The biggest issue was that the listing described the room as having an ensuite bathroom, but we were only informed the day of our arrival that the bathroom was actually located in the hallway, not an ensuite. « This inn is a beautifully located, wonderfully quiet and restful location near North Beach, 1 mile away from the shops and restaurants of Eastsound. The Goldfinch Room was lovely with a very comfortable bed. Breakfasts are out of this world! Hostess Jill was lovely and very helpful with everything. Highly recommended! »
