« We loved this property. The staff was very helpful in every way, and the property itself is very charming and inviting. Logan is a great location to visit Hocking Hills and surrounding areas. The rooms are very spacious and the little extra amenities are so nice. The only complaint is the doors slam very loud all day and night. The indoor pool and the decor makes you feel like you are on a tropical vacation. Would stay again over and over. »

« This was our third time staying at Avenwood. We enjoyed the first 2 stays but the third was not good. There was a power outage that went on all night. Due to the power outage there was a beeping noise that was not the smoke detector that just kept beeping and we couldn’t stop it. It disrupted our sleep and our all around relaxation. « I had a weekend with just my youngest this summer so I let her pick a getaway she said Hocking Hills! I felt very comfortable and safe staying at this campground by myself with 3 teens. Besides all the hiking there was so much to do at the campground! Between the swings in all the trees, the playground and pond my kids never wanted to leave. I did not mind sitting on the giant neck drinking coffee. I am differently interested in coming back with more family to a bigger camper on the grounds! »

« The gravel drive that the cabins are on is absolutely horrible. Iv never been on a drive that bad before. There are pot holes everywhere and they are super deep. There are steep hills to go up and down and it’s honestly nearly impossible to do if you don’t have a 4x4. It was only stated in the winter one is needed. I believe it’s needed all year road. « The location was peaceful and close to hiking and restaurants. There was plenty of deer and rabbits for our viewing pleasure. I liked there was no internet so that my vacation forced me to disconnect and relax (something I have a hard time doing). Take some games, DVDs, and books and relax. Only one real recommendation - chairs (rockers or a porch swing) on the front porch. It is a great porch and that is where we saw most of the wild life. I could have sat out there for hours. »
