« While on a motorcycle road trip, I stayed for one night at the Owl’s Perch on September 28th. It is a charming private wood cabin adjacent to the house of the hosts, Doug and Alice. It is quite a unique and peaceful accommodation in Robbinsville, NC, 30 min from the city accessible through a beautiful winding road while being very close to scenic roads and scenery like the Dragon’s tail road. « Very cozy little cabin/trailer! Sulfer water was the only thing unpleasant. Owners had bottled water in fridge which helped out. Driveway is gravel and a lottle iffu on motorcycle. Nice place over all and would stsy again. »

« Loved the paved road leading to the property. Great location for what I was doing, close to hikes and scenic spots. No detergent or shampoo was a minor inconvenience, but everything else was good. »

« My stay was spectacular. Accommodation were better than I anticipated. The cabin was very clean and cozy. The cabin was fully furnished, only needed my personal amenities. This is a nice place to getaway from the ways of the city. Hearing the horse and the donkey was especially refreshing. I’m already coordinate a future stay with friends. »

« Awesome time exploring Lake Santeelah and Fontana Lake. My grandfather grew up in Robbinsville and being up here brings me back to my chikdhood coming up here with him and my family. Just an amazing time. The charcoaled steaks were a bonus! »

« My son and I stayed here during his spring break and we stayed very busy with all there was to do and see. The place was clean and had all we needed. The owner was very communicative. We were able to get groceries in Robbinsville, visit the Tail of the Dragon, see Fontana Dam, head into the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, plenty of hiking and sight seeing everywhere we went. « We enjoyed our stay at the creekside. The house was as described, clean, comfortable, and worked well for our group of 4 adults. We worked around not having cell or internet service and appreciated the land line phone to check on family etc. we came prepared to eat all meals at the house which turned out well after long days hiking and enjoying the area. We enjoyed hikes to Yellow Creek falls, the Joyce Kilmer Forrest, and especially to the shook shank fire tower and the hangover hike.The turn...

« We stayed just 2 nights, but it was excellent. It is barebones but what more do you need. Plenty of room for trucks with trailers if you're towing your bike in. In the country so you can actually see the stars. »
