« Dinner was excellent with great service. Breakfast was ok. Picnic lunches were good. Place needs a deep cleaning. King room bed was comfortable but the floor carpet was super dirty. Guests walking upstairs generates lots of squeaking. Summer room was dirty with very old sofas. We felt walking around chairs were dusty and the property should be in better condition given the prices. »

« While on a motorcycle road trip, I stayed for one night at the Owl’s Perch on September 28th. It is a charming private wood cabin adjacent to the house of the hosts, Doug and Alice. It is quite a unique and peaceful accommodation in Robbinsville, NC, 30 min from the city accessible through a beautiful winding road while being very close to scenic roads and scenery like the Dragon’s tail road. « THERE ARE BEES EVERYWHERE THAT ARE DRILLING HOLES IN EVERYTHING. My roommate who is allergic got stung. This is the closest you can get to camping, with vacation rental pricing. Strongly do not recommend. Stayed there for two days, only had water on one of those days. The two old people who manage it are clueless and disrespectful. When we got there the water was working. Make sure you take a shower as fast as possible. You will lose hot water immediately. Anyway, day two got woken up by another...

The host has everything here that an AU family would need to relax, make dinner, and really enjoy the peace & quiet following a day of LOUD ENGINES ! « The cabin was very nice! Not hard to find but cabins were identified differently than on the listing. I was a bit concerned about checking in as I got instructions while on route to the area. It was great during the week as we were the only ones. Got blocked in the last day door to a truck and trailer (parking is limited). »

« This is truly a piece of Heaven on earth! It was the amazing place to spend Valentine’s weekend. The cabin is absolutely perfect. It was wonderfully appointed. We appreciated being able to unplug from all the noise of life for a couple days & just listen to the sounds of the roaring stream.
