Family and Pet Friendly house in down town Delta!

The Sleepy Howard House is your home away from home. This home includes two rooms with queen sized beds and a bonus room with a futon. Use the bonus room as your office, or as a play room for the kids. The fully loaded kitchen will allow you to cook and prep all of your meals for the family. Warm up by the fire place while you watch your favorite movie, or hang out outside by the fire while you grill and watch the game. Let your pets run free in the fully fenced front yard. The property is within walking distance of parks, schools and all downtown amenities, including dining and shopping.

Dirty and no hot water
The place was cute and quaint but was not very clean. There was popcorn and candy up under the couch and the bed were not very clean. There was NO hit water for showers and the bath tub was not very clean. There was good parking out back but that was the other perk of this place.

Relaxing, everything we needed, enjoy TV in the evening, I love the little fireplace. Expect a full bedroom in the downstairs bedroom, but it was perfectly adequate. We enjoyed our stay.

This is a great place to stay. Very clean, updated and comfortable. Loved the “fireplace “ that provided both heat and atmosphere. Price was right too. Would definitely recommend.

Pleasant Stay
The property is exactly as posted. Very comfortable, great yard for my mom's dog. A little lacking in seating for more than three people. My mom is a very short 81 year old lady. She was challenged by the steps entering the house with no railing. She was also not able to reach the chains to turn the overhead light off to keep the fan on. Watching her try and brush her teeth with the super high sink in the bathroom was entertaining. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, great location and communication with the owner was easy.

So happy we booked here!
What a cute, neat and clean, comfortable home. Close to downtown and easy access to Rt. 50. Our host worked with us on a couple of "issues" we had beforehand, and was so friendly and accommodating. We would absolutely stay there again, and highly recommend it!

DO NOT STAY HERE! ANT INFESTATION!
Our stay at this home was an absolute nightmare! When you first walk in you will be overwhelmed with multiple Glade Plug Ins that are so strong that we had to unplug them and put them outside. The listing says there is air conditioning, but this is deceiving because there is a small window air conditioner in the laundry room and a portable unit in the room adjacent to one of the bedrooms. The units were as high as they could go, and it was barely cool in there and they are also very loud. We went to turn the ceiling fan on for more air circulation and there was at least an inch of dust on the top of the blades. I noticed ants on the front step when we arrived but had no idea we would wake up to ants crawling all over our dogs and their dog food inside and all over the counter and our fresh fruit that we had just purchased that evening! I wish I could post pictures to this review so potential guests could see how bad the ants were. The owners response was that they would come spray and bring ant traps. We were not comfortable with that option as we had our dogs there that could not be left in a house full of ants and was not going to worry about them being around chemicals and possibly eating ant traps. We packed our things and asked for a refund which the owners REFUSED to refund us, not even a partial refund! There are also pee stains on the mattress we noticed after stripping the sheets to be washed so beware! Owners would not even answer VRBO regarding the issue!

Great option for you and your group when visiting Delta. This property is advertised accurately and the host was very responsive when I forgot the instructions. If staying in Delta would reccomend!

We enjoyed staying at this VRBO house. It was so much nicer than a motel. We were able to have family and friends come to visit us there, rather than us having to go visit them. It was clean and comfortable. We will definitely schedule it again next year. Thank you Sleepy Howard House!! :).

Perfect spot for this trip!
Great location in Delta and easy to get anywhere in town. The house was very clean and just the right size. Beds were comfortable, had the grandkids stay the night. I travel with a small schnauzer and it was perfect with the fenced yard to let her out. Tv’s in all the rooms and out on the back patio. Definitely want to stay here again and would recommend this place. Didn’t have an opportunity to cook but the kitchen was well stocked with all you would need to prepare meals. Communication with the owner was great and quickly responded regarding questions I had prior to arrival.

Clean comfortable easy with dogs
The house is adorable. Nice decor and a simple layout. Perfect location for us to visit friends in Montrose and the town of Delta is so friendly. Main Street was fun. Restaurants, and shops were fun. We have two dogs and the front fenced in yard was perfect. The house is close to walking trails and parks. Very clean house and easy to keep clean. The neighborhood is quiet- even the middle school down the street was great. Kitchen amenities were just right. Coffee station was well stocked with a kuerig beverage maker. Internet was easy to hook up to. Hope all you dog owners treat this house with respect.
