Needs an Update
Yikes... broken toilet seat, cracked bathtub, crooked headboard.. to name a few. It was ok for the night, but this hotel really needs updating!

Never book here, this place is not good. *Airconditioning is extremely noisy, couldn't keep up with the heat. *Found 4 cockroaches in the room *Furniture is falling apart, drawers collapse and chair is broken *Found smoke detector on the floor, smashed from the ceiling *Bed linnen was clean but worn, holes in it. *Lights are as bright as in an operation room *Faucets are leaking I payed for two nights but left after one night, just too horrible to stay in this place. Staff is friendly, but couldn't care less about complaints

This property was on our Cross-country route. It offered over-sized parking for our moving truck and attached travel-trailer, pet welcoming, and free breakfast. The ɓreakfast bar included continental offerings and American fare such as lwaffles, eggs, and sausages..

This place is a dive. It is in poor condition and smells like curry powder. There were bugs in the bathroom and the handhold in the shower pulled out of the wall. The room itself smelled like cigarette smoke. Save yourself and stay somewhere else in Decatur.

The manager was very nice and helpful. Had a nonsmoking room that smelled like smoke. Pillows had stains and room not particularly clean. No tissues.

Service dogs are an Additional $10.00 a nite. any dog is $10.00 Does not matter if service dog or not. Needed the room after Best western Dacatur Texas refused my reservation because of my service dog. Econo lodge is NEVER my first choice.

Holes in the wall around every fixture in the bathroom that were too big for the fixtures, intense mildew smell, over a one inch gap at the door with no weather stripping, 3 inch spider in the bathroom, filthy tub and couch with mystery stains ALL over it. The main hotel sign was smashed out on both sides making it hard to find, and there was not adequate lighting where the truck parking was. The night desk guy was very nice however.

Motel in poor condition. Grounds littered, furniture and debris on the sidewalk. I booked a nonsmoking room. When i checked in i was told that mo nonsmoking rooms were available. When i showed my confirmation for a king nonsmoking room i was offered a 2 queen room which was ok. Room had new paint but trim was not painted. Paint overspray was around room and on furniture. Furniture was old and well worn. Cigarette burns in bedspreads. Ice machine broken. The price was appropriate and i accepted the room for myself but my wife wouldnt have stayed.

I have asthma and the room they had available had been smoked it and was triggering my asthma. Unfortunately they did not have another room but the staff we dealt with was kind and polite during the whole experience. There was construction going on which limited the number of available rooms

Went to check in. Parking lot sketchy. Given a room key. Go to that room and there’s someone in it. Get another room. Tracking dirt from outside everywhere. Bath tub has huge crack in the bottom that they tried to patch. People Outside smoking and drinking. Front door to room was a mess. Just disgusting

My rating reflects the present appearance of a the motel and the surrounding area. I do know they are in the process of renovations so I realize this influenced my ratings. The room was clean but not especially appealing. The hair dryer did not work and the tv remote worked intermittently. These were not life defining moments just an inconvenience. I also did not go to the front office regarding this but I am sure it would have been addressed. I would be willing to give this place a try again in the future.

Room was clean especially the bathroom however the bed was broke down and the sofa was stained/dirty. Door would not latch and could be pushed open without using key. The door could be secured from the inside using deadbolt.

The room had a distinct odor of cigarettes. The ice machine was not working and the vending machine had been vandalized. Went to the breakfast area twice only to find little food available so had to pay for breakfast elsewhere.

The first room they gave us it smell so bad of smoke. They gave us another room room looked like it needed painting all the walls looked so bad.. The air conditioner didn’t work or heater, but weather wasn’t bad so we stayed. In the morning breakfast asked for more eggs and sausage and lady just laugh at us and told her about the air conditioner and she acted like she really didn’t care..

The check in went smoothly but the property itself was very run down. Paint was peeling on room doors and there was clutter throughout the exterior grounds. They also advertised a free breakfast from 6-9 am. I visited at 6:30 and everything was gone and there no effort being made to replenish. The pool in the front of the property looked like a swamp. I should have stayed at the Best Western right next door.

I made a TikTok about how horrible this room was-the couch had mystery stains, the shower - yea no one used it !! The smoke detector looked like it was from the sixties and had grease on it, the floor runner on the bed was old and faded or dirty..looked bad. And then the door, you know that top “slap lock” most doors have—yea this one had one but the part of the lock on the door was missing so it was just the “slap” part. And it advertised free breakfast…it was coffee!! No creamer, and only sweet n low..it was the worst.

Bedsheets were clean and tv was great. The downsides- the lock on the door was falling off with the screws loose. It was hanging. The paint was chipped everywhere. The carpet was stained. The tub was dirty. The lamps didn't work. The couch was shredded in one corner. It was gross. And a little scary.

Service was not good. Place was run down. Got into our room and looked around. Had something in the tub and on the wall that looked like blood. Beds had the smallest pillows I have ever seen. The ac would not change temp, the alarm clock did not work at all. If you set the time it just stays at the time you set it to. WILL NOT STAY AGAIN.

The lady was nice, but the room was so filthy we didn't even stay. We walked out and went across the street to the Lonestar Inn (cheaper price too) and just ended up paying for a room we didn't even sleep in. It was late and we were tired and had tired kids and I just didn't have the energy to fight it. It doesn't look like the pictures at all, that is a different hotel they are showing. Save your money and go to the Lonestar.
