Une de mes meilleures nuits! Un lit King. Un matelas ferme avec un surmatelas doux! Un couchage parfait. Le reste vieillissant bien. L odeur de piscine dans le hall! Une carte restaurant à améliorer.

To start our stay, no one was available to check us into our room due to a staff “personal emergency” which was understandable. We were finally placed into our room by manual staff selection. Our rooms ac was not working as we could not feel any cold air coming in no matter what setting we tried. When we called staff to come look at it, we were told it was properly functioning and was working just fine. However, the thermostat temp was registering at 75 when the ac was set to high at 65 degrees and the temp never decreased in the room all evening. We woke up drenched in sweat by morning due to literally no air flow. Felt like we were completely dismissed when we had staff look at it. Should have been moved rooms but made to feel like we were wrong and the air was fine. Not an good experience. Will not return.

The hotel had a lovely lobby area, and the warm homemade cookies we delicious!! The housekeeping missed tidying the room one day but not a huge problem. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience

The sky walk had a small area between the sky walk and the parking garage. It was filthy and creepy. There was garbage in there, throw up, and it smelled like urine. Disgusting way to enter the sky walk leading to a classy hotel.

Very dirty and not well taken care of. On our floor there was a room with door off the hinges. Our room had a vomit stained couch and looked like the bathroom was not cleaned at all. Would not stay here again. Its only redeeming quality is its location. Very walkable to all downtown has to offer.

The rooms are really hot and there’s “nothing they can do about it”. Parking is sparse. Our room had a leaky faucet. Bathroom floor was dirty.

Their key-maker went down the morning we checked in, so staff had to let us in our room as we would come and go, but they did their best to get people in their rooms in a timely fashion! Great job to the staff overcoming that obstacle!

We were unable to sleep due to the noise that echos through the hotel from the first floor. The sound of people from the bar kept us up until they closed at midnight. The reason we came into town was for a volleyball tournament and we had to be up early. After the bar closed people continued to stay outside their rooms and continue drinking which was even louder once they were on the 5th floor.

No AC, arrived in room at 75 degrees. Turned the AC on, was 78 degrees that evening with unit running entire day. Zero communication from staff regarding dining accommodations or protocols for even trying to order a meal. Woke up to a live band at 7 am on a Sunday morning.

The only thing i didnt care for this time around was the very loud group after 11 pm. Sound does carry. Everything was great, as usual!

It was a convenient location to the Rivercenter. Unfortunately we were on floor 6 and it was over 70 degrees outside and because it was March they couldn't turn on the air. It was 86 degrees in our room and would not cool down even with a window open! It was so loud outside with the window open!

Terrible!
We stayed here for a dance competition with our friends. Air was broke through the entire hotel. Hotel rooms felt like it was 100 degrees. We had our window open to cool the room down. No lock on the window so it didn’t matter if we kept it closed or open, someone could still get in. Plaster from work they did in the bathroom was all over the floor in the bathroom and by the doors with shoe print. No place to put clothes, which didn’t matter because we leave them in our suitcase. Not staying here again. We stayed here two years back and their air was “broken” then too along with not having half the food we wanted to order in the hotel. We stayed here because our friends wanted to. Next year I’m going back to the Blackhawk Hotel.

We were in town for a dance competition. The horel air was not working, by the time maintenance checked, our room was 85 degrees. After multiple complaints we switched rooms. We were able to get in a room with an open window to keep it cool enough (it is february in Iowa. We should not be sleeping with the window open.) Staff was doing what they could, but this is a property management issue that needs resolved!

Fair but wouldn’t recommend
The hotel itself is very clean but once we got to our room the door handle was falling off. The air wasn’t working! We were able to open our windows but had no screens & only opened a few inches. Not to mention they over booked clients so our double queen beds room had to be changed to a king suite for 2 people. The couch bed wasn’t very comfortable. And the shower was leaking all over the floor with poor water pressure.

This is a nice hotel, clean, well managed. A little trouble checking in as they were unable to make key cards. The young man at the desk needs a little coaching on how to speak to customers during a crisis. So I smiled and told him how sorry I was this was happening, and we were going to take a seat, put our luggage over here, and that I was sure it would be up and running in no time.

Beautiful hotel, nice and clean, perfect for a short little weekend getaway for me and my daughter. The only downside was that the pool area was closed for maintenance.

Not bad
I was only here for one night. The receptionist who checked me in was very friendly and welcoming. The room was fine for the most part, however it was very warm. When I left in the morning it was 83 degrees, despite the thermostat being set at 65. The fire alarm also went off in the morning, but I don't believe anybody is at fault for that. Overall, I did enjoy my stay and would probably stay again if I am ever back in the area.

It was a well maintained property. Very clean. However, our room was extreeemly hot! The thermostat said 84 even after turned off. Since our room overlooked the lobby we couldn’t even open a window to cool it off. There were two other rooms in our party and they had the same problems with the heat. As soon as we could in the morning we checked out!

Rough Shape...
There were several spots of noticeable damage to the walls that were very badly "patched", the floors in the bathroom didnt look like they had been mopped in a while with dirt streaks all over them, there was a hole in the bayhroom door by the door knob that you could see through and it was uncomfortably hot in the whole hotel and room. The room thermostat was set to 65, but it jept blowing hot area and the actual temperature of the room was 77. Other guests we rode the elevator with mentioned it was the same in their room too. It felt like i was saying in a $50/night hotel, not one that was almost $200. Very disappointing.

No casino
The reason why we booked this hotel was because it stated on their website that the Rhythm City casino was a 2 minute walk. Come to find out there is no casino. I believe it’s a 16 minute drive instead. Also the pool wasn’t open for use.

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed here in 30 days and this time was much worse than the first time! The shower conditioner bottle was to be affixed to the wall in the shower and it was lying on the shower floor, the shower was a stead drip and wouldn’t shut off and to add the shower wouldn’t turn on! We had to call maintenance to turn it on for us! The toilet paper holder was loose and barely hanging on to the cabinet! There were missing and loose outlet covers, which is a safety concern! The room was super hot and we couldn’t get the temp down any lower than 73 degrees!! We are exited to stay here for the pool but it wasn’t operational either! All in all these are all maintenance issues that the hotel and discounts should be given if these items persist it’s hard to justify the nightly rate!!

Sauna Room
We checked in and had to leave right away for an event so we didn’t even get to see the room until later. When we did get up to the room the thermostat was at 87 degrees and it was like a sauna. There was no way to turn on “air conditioning” we had to turn it off all together. It never cooled down. We asked for fans they didn’t have any. At midnight we had enough and tried to see if the Walmart ten miles away had a fan and they were closed. The desk didn’t help us at all! We were only given Hilton honors points and not refunded our room. I will never stay here again as we didn’t sleep a wink. Should have just drove home in the middle of the night!

There is an issue with the Expedia payment interface and we were charged twice by the property. This has caused significant waste of time and energy to get the extra charges reversed. The property insists I research and resolve how Expedia pays the property and they state they don’t handle this. The hotel charges $100 more per night to book directly, but buyer beware.

Got a great deal on the room. Nice hotel. Spacious. Unfortunately, the heat didn’t work in our room. Maintenance came and diagnosed it very quickly. Got us in a new room quickly, as well. My only gripe was the smell of oil or something in the air everywhere, which I presume came from the griddle in the kitchen directly below us.

Needed a break
This is a lovely hotel. I took a couple of kids to get us out during several days of snow/cold/trapped at home. The restaurant was out of a couple of items but we figured it out. Our only complaint was the temperature throughout the lobby, restaurant, and pool area--it was cold!
