« A lovely cottage in a great location. »

« Had a lovely time at Cross cottage. It was a lovely quiet location but only 5 min drive to Kirkby Lonsdale for restaurants pubs and shops. Great for all the Yorkshire dales hills and villages. Garden to the cottage was well maintained and relaxing. Good Wi-Fi and free sat too. Shower was super powerful . Always a bonus. Only improvement would be curtains over French doors now the darker nights are coming back for added privacy and cosy feel. Would definitely book again n this cottage and this...

« Perfect location for a family get-together. The cottage is very spacious and well equipped and the grounds are beautiful. Kerith and Daryl were excellent hosts. »

« This is an excellent house in superb state of repair with very good quality furniture. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The booking process was simple and Martin Wardle of the agents was extremely helpful. The house is situated in a village which is very near Kendal, the lakes and just over one hour to the Solway coast. There are some very good dining places in the area with our favourite being The Watermill Inn which has its own micro brewery producing very tasty beers. All in all...

« It was very good. Lovely location, easy commute, very clean and nice scenery from front of house. Recommended for anyone. »

« Lovely Cottage in excellent location close to All amenities in the town centre Clean comfortable with everything you would require a real Home from Home wold not Hesitate in recommending this property »

« Great central location so easy to walk everywhere in Kendal - ideal for out party who could then nip to shops, out for meals etc. Lovely property top to bottom. And a nice welcome gift for us too. Thank you to the hosts. »

« It’s a 10/10 for me. Clean, spacious and it’s got everything you need during your stay. Location is also superb. »

« House is clean and tidy. The kitchen has everything we need. Water pressure and temperature in all bathroom are perfect. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The heater in ground floor got very loud noise after few hours central heating been turn on. Need to turn up the heating,(e.g. from 0 to 2, from 2 to 3)to stop the noise. There were high pitch "beeps" from ground floor which woke everyone in house at 3am and 3:30am on the first night. Sounds like the smoke detector but we were not sure. However,...

« Great little place , only 10 min walk to the local swan pub , great for a group booking like ours was , only 30 mins to Windermere lake , loads going on there. »

« Great place. Check in was easy once we got through. Not the owners fault it was hotel. Com they were awful. Stay was amazing views were outstanding. Dated but this gave the appeal plenty of space and bedrooms all hadd en suite »

« Amazing weekend.Bit awkward to find as we came in from kendal way ..Sat nav tookus throughmiles of one car wide road but its a paradise corner with stream and garden areas.. Some cottages residential but very friendly especially John..Also has smart TV and excellent wifi ..4 of us on anniversary weekend.Fully recommended.. »

« The property was in generally good condition, conveniently situated relative to the town. We have a few complaints, however. First, for a group of ten people there was a definite dearth of toilet tissue, which quickly ran out! This meant purchasing these ourselves. Secondly, it was not clear how to dispose of recycling items. There was no bin provided and, thanks to information from a neighbour (and not the agent), these had to be carried some considerable distance to properly deposit them....

« It was a lovely location, a great place for a weekend getaway for couples. »

« Lovely quiet location on the edge of Cartmel with good road connections to the tourist areas of the Lakes. The place was spotless and well equipped but they really do only include bedding, towels and loo roll. Whatever else you need make sure you take it with you. It lacked hanging space for clothes in the bedroom and any place to put your cases. We were surprised it was a semi detached building, we could hear a lot of noise, especially doors closing in the attached unit. I would still recommend...

« Everything was ideal with this property and if you want to walk into Cartmel it’s also close enough to do so… it does seem a lot longer walking back from Cartmel however after you have sampled the excellent local ales 😬 »
