Amazing, Hassle-free, convenient location
The place was exactly as described. They had everything, including laundry pods. Met the owner and his son. They were so kind and helped us hose our shoes off so we didn't have to track sand and rock indoors. The town is so quiet and cute. We did a kayak trip with Redwood Rides and the town was small enough we ran into several of the staff in random places throughout our trip. Everyone we met in the town was super friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay in one of their apartments again.

Redwoods visit
Central location in Crescent City - close to Redwood parks and Hiouchi. Great base for day trips around the area to the State and National parks as well as Southern Oregon!! Recommend Seaquake Brewery - less than a 10 min walk.

Clean and got the job done
The apartment is very clean. Had a very strong smell of febreze when first walked in. Was impressed for the price and location. It has stairs and is on the second floor. I don’t remember the listing saying that. Parking is street and an empty gravel lot across the street. Super close to Tesla super chargers and other charging stations so that was a huge plus for me. When we stayed it was foggy and smoky and the fog horn for the lighthouse went off every 7 seconds all night long. If you use the fan that is provided it helps drown out the noise. The surf shop downstairs is super cute and worth visiting. I would for sure stay here again. The check out procedure could use some updating example (put sheets in hamper-their was no hamper). Overall it was a nice clean place to stay in a cute little town.

Redwood Forest Getaway
We highly recommend staying here when visiting Crescent City and the redwoods. The apt was immaculate and had very comfortable furnishings. Its a great location as well. We forgot some items when we left and the owner called us and arranged a meeting. We are so grateful! 10 out of 10 for this property! We had a lovely time!

Great condo near everything
We love this condo! We have stayed here two years and a row and will likely be back next summer. We love that it is downtown and is near the pier, lighthouse, park, and Marine Mammal Rescue Center. There is a washer and dryer on site which comes in handy after a day on the beach or after going crabbing/fishing. It also has a full well equipped kitchen. The beds are comfy, the shower great and the towels fluffy. We could not have asked for more.

Mixed review
Comfy accommodations but not the best locale. Easy parking. Very nice, communicative host. Door access code for our unit was provided to me and another couple, and they tried to enter after we’d arrived. Host was nice and explained there was a booking mixup, and it was resolved quickly. Thankfully, the other couple was nice and we calmly waited and chatted while we had it sorted. However, this could have been a safety situation were the folks involved not so nice.

Close to everything!
This was the perfect hub from which we introduced the youngest to fabulous redwoods and coastline. Wish we could have gotten WiFi to work on computers, but we managed on our phones. It was amazing how fast a replacement coffee pot showed up the first morning. Wow! That was excellent customer service!!

All The Comforts
This unit has been remodeled very nicely. We really appreciated having some staple supplies like a few spices, olive oil, q-tips, ziplocs, foil, etc. These are small things but not always included in other rentals and can be so handy. On the downside, I could not find address or check-in info. I went to my email confirmation and there was a property manager listed that I called to ask and it was incorrect for this rental. Finally, I clicked my reservation ID in my email and it took me to the info. I ended up getting a notice from the VRBO app but not until actual check-in time. Crescent City is a good hub for exploring the Redwood Forest and this rental was very comfortable.

Thank you so much for the kind review! We strive to add little details that will help make the stay enjoyable. Yes the check in process on some sites can be confusing. There is an email that is supposed to go out 48 hours before the stay but we are noticing that not everyone is receiving their auto generated email. I appreciate this feedback as it’s super helpful for us to help future guests.

Great rest around redwoods
This was a great place to stay to explore the redwoods. It's a small apartment with a few other units in the same building. The owner has all kinds of supplies for about any need. The unit was very clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy but a great home base for the redwoods.

Great, but with two big minuses
Very clean, good location, many thoughtful touches. The shades in the bedroom allowed WAY too much light in - they didn't darken the room at all. You'll wake up w/the sunrise. We were upset at the extra fees when we got the bill: $40 service bill in addition to expected housekeeping & taxes! As is, we won't be back. We will be better prepared to find out the REAL cost - and check for CURTAINS - at the next place.

Perfect location. It was within walking distance of the National Parks visitor center, a grocery store, several restaurants, and the beach. The space was clean and had everything we needed. The sheets weren't the softest and the fitted portion kept coming off the mattress corners. It was also a bit hot and humid in there til we figured out how to open the windows. But over all a great stay.

Arrived later in the evening. Self check-in was straightforward. Apartment is upstairs. Building and unit are clean and quiet. We had a nice walk on the path along the harbor in the morning.

Great option in Crescent City
We visited in November 2022 from the East Coast to see the Redwoods. This was a great base for seeing the redwoods in several areas that were close by. The South Beach area is a couple minutes drive (you could bike or walk in nicer weather) and is a nice flat, sandy beach. Grocery store and restaurants are close by. There are several units in the building and a shared washer/dryer that was convenient. Detergent is provided for 1 load. The unit was clean and comfortable, newly renovated.

Better than a hotel
We love the Surfside! This room was absolutely fantastic. My favorite thing was having a full kitchen, completely stocked with everything you could need to cook a simple meal. As you enter the room, the bathroom is on the left and the main area is the dining/kitchen. There is a comfortable loveseat in this area as well as a square table and four stools. The bedroom is just off the kitchen area to the left. There was a full-sized bed, bunk bed, dresser and TV. There were a lot of homey touches and supplies which made our stay feel like home – like cotton balls, Q-tips, coffee pods, saran wrap, tin foil, sandwich bags, Kleenex, iron and ironing board and even some snacks to greet us. We will be back, even if we are in a different room.

Hidden Gem
My family and I stayed here on the last leg of our northern Redwoods road trip. We are so happy to have found this hidden gem. It was a beautiful, clean, comfortable stay. With access to laundry, ample living space for my family of 4, big bathroom, perfect location for hiking Jedidiah State Park- it was the best stay on our whole trip. Communication with the host was easy, fast and they gave great suggestions when I asked about the area. Amazing place. You won't be disappointed!

The renting process was easy and the only problem we had was getting the entry door code to work. We finally worked it out. The unit was very clean and it was quiet. The property was located close to beach, grocery store and quick shopping. We would stay here again.

Everything you need!
We had a fantastic time in Crescent City . This little apartment style VRBO was perfect for us! Place was very clean and easy to get to. It is walking distance to the store, a couple of restaurants, the ocean, and the visitor center. It is really center to many beautiful attractions, a big one being the redwoods. The beds were great, the towels and bathroom were clean, everything was in great working order. I would stay here again!

Love what they've done with an unassuming building. Very very clean and comfortable. It was (almost) like arriving home after we'd spent a week in the wilderness. Laundry steps from our unit was much appreciated. The Kiereg is nice, but we needed either more coffee singles or a coffee maker. Brandee is super nice and helpful!

My partner and I had a wonderful time in this beautiful and tastefully decorated apartment. We felt surprised at how great the quality of the place and how well it matched the pictures/description on the website. It was pleasantly clean and came with everything we could’ve needed. The cooking was great for us as we don’t like to eat out a lot and felt almost at home when we would come back from hiking in the redwoods or exploring neighboring towns. We especially love it’s location and how close we were to the lighthouse and beach. Brandee was very attentive and sweet with making sure check in was okay too! We are so grateful for the addition this place added to our amazing experience of the California redwoods

Awesome Stay!
This booking did not disappoint! We would definitely book again and have already recommended it to others. The property is exactly as posted, very clean and came stocked with items we were very impressed to have found such as coffee, laundry pods, feminine hygiene products and even a tooth brush and toothpaste. All things I’ve forgotten to pack in the past, so I found it very neat that they included those items for their guests. Our stay was very rainy and there was often fog along the coast. There is a fog horn that goes off every 10 seconds that at first I had no idea what it was and it woke me around 3:30 AM. After messaging the property manager, Raul, they quickly responded and reassured me it wasn’t anything of concern. After that, it was easy to tune out and didn’t bother us the rest of the stay. However, if you’re sensitive to sounds or a light sleeper I might suggested a different place to stay where there aren’t fog horns. Previous renters mentioned the homeless presence but we didn’t find that to be an issue or concern during our stay. We also recommend checking out CC’s Diner if you’re staying in town, it’s just around the corner from the rental.

Everything was new inside! The bed was comfortable and the bunk beds were great for the kids. The apartment was very clean! The location is awesome because it is so close to the Redwood National Park headquarters and the beach. We were coming from out of town and were surprised by the large homeless/vagrant population in Crescent City. This is no fault of the owner - and they included both an outdoor code lock and a separate code to get in your room inside which helped it feel safe. I would definitely not leave anything valuable in your car!

Newly renovated units. Clean and perfectly situated with ample parking. Perfect for young families, bunk beds were a big hit. Walkable to the beach and play area for kids. Redwood information center just behind the building for the best advice on planning your trip. Definitely revisiting.
