« From the moment we arrived Carol made us feel welcomed. She showed us to our room and explained meals times. She made us feel so at home. The room was cosy and decorated in the style of the coaching inn. Dark furnishings and a king sized bed. Lots of drawers to store clothes and a good sized wardrobe too. Lovely modern shower room with hand wash, body wash and shampoo products provided. Ironing board, hair dryer, trouser press and tea and coffee making facilities, tv and bottled water also...

« Staff not very friendly (both on check in and check out). It seemed as if they would like to be anywhere except where they were then and there and they did not seem keen to help with anything. The walls are very thin and people speaking in the corridor sound like they are in your room. You can also hear everything outside. Did not have a good night's sleep and would not book to stay here again. »

« Very Helpful staff,very quirky room in the roof,lovely touch of the free port in the room and because I was leaving before breakfast they left a small bag of food outside my door,Only small niggle I could see for some was no TV,didn’t bother me and also I kept banging my head when getting out of bed and the bath which was in the same room as the bed,I would definitely stay there again but maybe next time see if they have a normal room 😃 »

« Stayed in the windmill for just one night after arriving from France after a long drive. What a place! Gorgeous old English pub with lots of places to smack your head and absolutely nothing is straight… the room itself is lovely and simple with a great bed and everything you could need. « Great food and choice of drinks. Room was lovely, although it needed a thinner quilt, as it was far too hot. A bit disappointed that breakfast was not served until 9.00 am, although they did offer me a take away hamper. This was a business trip so I could not hang around for breakfast. I would definitely stay again though. »

« This property is just amazing. Full of character and charm and so very well suited to the large group that we were. From under 2’s to grandparents in their 80’s, it was spot on Offering high chairs, potty’s, travel cots and plastic child friendly plates etc, as well as swings and garden toys, our great niece and nephew were very well catered for The house is full of nooks and crannies, so it was easy to find a quiet spot to sit and read or have forty winks! And what can we say about that...
