Bien situé et belle vue
Hôtel ayant besoin d’amour ou d’un bon rafraîchissement! La propreté est bien, chercher à réserver au deuxième étage et une chambre sans tapis. Selon mes allergies le premier niveau a eu des problèmes d’eau et de moisissures 😕

+ Reception really nice and helpful. Great when you're a girl travelling by yourself. Location and view on the harbor great. You can do everything walking distance. - Not having toiletries changed for 3 days of stay. main road can be noisy at night wall very thin, you're almost leaving with your neighbors

Thank you for your review. As you have listed anonymous we can not tell which room you were in. As well, we are certain your toiletries were changed daily, unless you had your Do Not Disturb sign on the door. This is the only instance in which we would not enter your room to tidy it for you. We pride ourselves on taking care of our guests needs, and would never leave a room go for this long unless it was specifically requested that we not. If in fact housekeeping did not perform properly, it would be best to bring this to our attention in person at the time, so we could rectify it immediately. Bel endroit typique et calme
Un endroit magnifique et typique, de belles photos à faire. Restaurants très corrects alentour, à quelques minute à pied de l'hôtel. Victoria et Nanaimo à portée de voiture. Super séjour.

The property is older and although we were not in a renovated unit, it was very comfortable. Large room with bay view. Parking area convenient. Staff accommodating.

Location: The Wessex Inn is wonderfully situated in picturesque Cowichan Bay, making it an ideal home base for nature enthusiasts. We enjoyed several beautiful nature walks and hikes in the area. Nearby attractions like the Malahat Skywalk and Kinsol Trestle are easily accessible, and it's convenient that Victoria is only 55 km away. Amenities: We appreciated that some rooms have a kitchen, and all rooms are equipped with a microwave, fridge, and basic dishes/cutlery. This setup made it easy to save on dining out, allowing us to prepare simple meals in our room. Overall Experience: The location and amenities make the Wessex Inn a great choice for a stay in Cowichan Bay, especially for those looking to explore the natural beauty of the area and save on food costs.

big disappointment, first room we were put in, had disgusting stains on the carpet, mold in base in the bathroom, overall not clean but mainly due to poor workmanship or no proper maintenance. Windows look out to the ocean but were so dirty inside and out, impossible to see anything. After complaining that we wanted our money back after first night, they put us in a suite which was cleaner and nicer except . . we couldn't take showers because the cold water tap was jammed and impossible to open. Overall a terrible experience!

We arrived early and were given an early check-in without any issue at all. Very friendly front desk guy. Very basic, but clean room. The front of the building looks a lot nicer than the back. Could use some sprucing up in the back as that's where one enters the rooms from.

The staff were all very nice and that’s why I’m giving this at least two stars, but the rest was pretty bad. From small things to having no conditioner in the shower, to a rotting deck that my foot pushed through, paper thin walls so we could hear everything from other rooms, an old, old fridge that was also loud, and a price that was way too high. I would not recommend staying here unless you’re completely stuck. Terrible night overall for us.

This is in an excellent location right by the water. Nice walking nearby and close enough to walk down the road for some nice restaurants. It's an older place that is well maintained and very clean. Have stayed there for many years and there are often improvements and upgrades from one year to the next. Reasonably priced.

Noisy people in the suite next to me until 2am, easy to hear talking and door closing, so if you're a light sleeper, good luck. Bathroom was small, toilet very close the wall and awkward to use. Obvious streaks on the mirrors and TV. It was a place to crash for a couple nights while visiting friends on the island, but probably wont stay there again.

Super friendly staff, excellent sized rooms , super clear and excellent location. Super comfy dreams with top quality sound proof headboards. Will be returning definitely. Won’t find better for this price savings.

It’s a bit out of Duncan so it’s pretty quiet. The trade off is that there isn’t a restaurant anywhere near by. There is a view of the ocean so that’s nice. The units could use some sprucing up (old nail holes patched, maybe repainting and recaulking around the tub). but it served its purpose.
