About the home

“Fairways” is a delightful double-storey family and pet-friendly home in Cowes, just a short walk from Cowes Beach via a 250m access track at the end of the street, with Lovers Walk providing access to Cowes on foot. This spacious home offers a comfortable retreat for families and groups, with inviting living areas and lovely outdoor spaces, making it a great base for exploring Phillip Island. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

The spacious Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with a 40" Smart TV, DVD player, a selection of board/card games/books/magazines and a Coonara-style wood heater) provides a welcoming central space for guests to gather and relax. It flows out to the Verandah, creating a lovely connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces. The ground-floor hallway leads to Bedrooms 2, 3 & 4, each with BIR, with Bedrooms 2 & 4 featuring French doors opening onto a deck for comfortable nights in warmer weather, along with the main Bathroom (with shower & bath) and a separate Toilet. The Laundry (with washing machine) is also located on the ground floor.

Upstairs, accessed via the internal stairs, Bedroom 1 is privately positioned and features a WIR and an adjoining Ensuite (with shower, toilet, and heated towel rail), an adjoining study/TV area overlooking the dining/living room, along with access to a Balcony overlooking the garden, parkland, and golf course.

Outdoor Areas

The front Deck, covered Verandah and additional outdoor areas provide lovely, inviting spaces to relax, unwind and enjoy the fresh air. The front Deck (with an outdoor dining setting for 8 and a Weber Q gas BBQ), while the insect-wire-enclosed Verandah wraps around the south-eastern corner of the Dining/Living area (with dining for 4, a relaxing hammock, plus an additional table and 2 chairs) beneath the kitchen servery window, creating a wonderful spot to enjoy relaxed outdoor moments. Upstairs, the covered Balcony and two private uncovered Decks from the rear-facing bedrooms provide additional peaceful spots to sit back and unwind, with each Deck comfortably accommodating 2 chairs.

The fully enclosed rear yard is perfect for children and pets (small pets only please), while an outdoor shower is conveniently located to the right of the front porch. Parking is available for up to 5 cars across the double carport, driveway, and lawn, with boat parking available on the front lawn or driveway.

Please note: The storage loft above the carport is locked and is not accessible to guests.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, electric jaffle iron, hand beaters, a stick blender, etc. plus a double sink, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric oven and gas 4-burner cooktop.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There is a wall-mounted split-system air conditioner in the Kitchen/Dining/Living Room, a ceiling fan in the Living Room, plus mobile heaters in Bedrooms 2, 3 & 4 and a pedestal fan in Bedroom 3. The home also has a Coonara-style wood heater in the Living Room(some wood provided to get you started). A ceiling fan is also located in the main upstairs Bedroom.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 5 beds, accommodating up to 9 guests:

Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Downstairs): One Tri-bunk
Bedroom 4 (Downstairs): One Queen bed

Please note: The Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
