« Elsa’s Inn was fantastic! The property is located overlooking a beautiful harbor and lighthouse. The old 1800s home is charming and beautifully decorated. Extremely comfortable and inviting. Gayle made me feel so at home and relaxed. I only planned one night but stayed three. Her breakfast is not to be missed! The area is so interesting. I learned a lot about lobstering! « Très belle maison où nous avons été très bien accueillis La chambre (n° 8) disposait d'une terrasse couverte ; chaque voiture a son emplacement et nous sommes informés par mail avant notre arrivée de l'endroit où il faut se garer. Tout a été fait pour faciliter notre séjour : prêt de DVD, de GPS, brochures etc... Petit déjeuner excellent et gâteaux servis l'après midi tout était très bien y compris l'emplacement tout près du centre de Bar Harbor (5 mn à pied) »

« My mother and I had the best stay at Heathwood Inn when we visited Bar Harbor this summer. The staff is amazingly nice and they even prepared for my last breakfast the famous pumpkin waffles I had seen in the comments and nicely asked for - if possible (they are so delicious). It is also very easy to move around the island as one of the island buses can stop right in front of the Inn, allowing you to explore Acadia without a car and struggling to find parking. Yass! »

« Jim and Anna are wonderful, thoughtful hosts - and chefs! Breakfast was divine, and a new creative menu every morning. We’re still raving about their watermelon salad and baked blackberry strata! The Inn is just 5-6 miles from downtown, and on a street laden with food options too so you’re never too far from fulfilling your lobster roll cravings. Great sized room (we stayed at Somes Sound) with a comfy loveseat and TV that lets you sign in to Disney, Hulu, Netflix, YouTube, etc. for cozy nights...

« The property is rustic but nice. There is a bathroom with shower on 1st and 2nd floor but the water pressure in the house does not sustain use of both at the same time. The main kitchen refrigerator was not working during our stay. There are minifridges on the 2nd and 3rd floor but it would have been nice to have working main floor fridge. »
