« The food options were great, plenty of things to do in the area. We were able to take a 10 minute walk to the downtown area. The only down side was the two days we were there the pool was filled with little kids (have kids and love them very much) just thought it would be a calmer pool experience at the roost. « It was a great place to stay just 3 or so blocks from the beach. The Bungalow is an upstairs 1 bedroom apartment style vacation home. Downstairs is another unit called the bunkhouse. There is also a short term rental home. We all shared the beautiful grounds and had a great time hanging out with the other renters. There is ample parking in a quiet neighborhood. « It was a great place to stay very cozy and quiet. Excellent if you want to get away from all the hustle and bustle. It was only 15 minutes from the beach (side note if you go to Dauphin Island beaches make sure you have very good cellphone service to use the ParkMobile app. They will boot your car) Also the people at Catalina Restaurant are the best if you have a toddler. We booked this property because it said “you’ll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.” We immediately left after discovering that it is just a couple rooms in a man’s house and he would be there the entire time. Such a waste of money. »
