« We spent 3 nights at Raul’s guesthouse which felt more like a very spacious condo! It is safe with a gated driveway and a backyard that never ends! The fruit trees, the flowers and the landscape are absolutely stunning. Now for interior, there are only positives critiques to be said here. Everything is high end, they provide you with so many things that it is easy to cook your own meals! They have lots of pots and pans, dishes etc
 but no condiments. Every inch of this place is taken care of....

« Stayed here for a week whilst visiting the eastern side of the big island and loved our time here! It has a 70s/bohemian vibe which mirrors downtown Hilo and is much larger than the photos. With 2 x double beds, a well equipped kitchen and decent bathroom and plenty of space to hang clothes it was ideal for us + you can use the washing machine/dryer in the entrance hallway in afternoon hrs. « We absolutely love their beautiful lodge. It is a magical place in a beautiful setting with incredible views. We will be back again and highly recommend staying here. The family was very f friendly and accommodating. We loved sitting on the deck taking in the spectacular views. The lodge was masterly built by the owners. It provides a very unique stay up rly in the Kohola mountains. Thank you, Aron and Sandra. »

« Great little house next to the owner's house. Not a lot of space but cozy. Owner is easy to reach and answers questions quickly. Warm welcome. However the location is not that convenient as it is a good 25 min from Hilo, and the roosters and dogs of the neighborhood are very noisy at night... »

« This is a beautiful home on an even more beautiful property. Private and quiet. The king size bed in the loft was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. Two black sand beaches within 10 to 20 minute drive and well located for various sites at this end of the island. We would definitely stay here again. »

« What a great place! We had a wonderful stay at this cute tiki cottage. The hosts had Hawaiian music playing when first arrived which was a really nice touch. Very well maintained grounds, beautiful flowers throughout. The tiki decor in the house was so fun and very well done. We had a relaxing evening on the lanai listening to the rain and kept cozy with lots of blankets because it does get cold at night. There was a heated mattress pad on the bed which was lovely.
