« This property was close to everything. We were 10-15 minutes from most beaches and dining (often less). Plenty of restaurants in the area. The beds got mixed reviews from our group of four-two loved them, two were less in love, but I think you will have personal preferences anywhere you go! The little kitchen was just big enough to suit our needs. Sitting on the balcony in the mornings and listening to the birds was a favorite for all of us. « This was the worst place we stayed in Hawaii. Dust, mold and even rotten food were found in the accommodation. The swimming pool is not heated as advertised. Any compensation was refused by the apartment manager. Avoid at all costs! »

« Enjoyed our stay in Waikaloa Village. We usually stay closer to the beach, but the Village is really a short drive. Nice neighborhood for walking/ shopping/ eating before heading to the beach. Quiet pool and hot tub area. No worries that the living room area doesn't have AC. Temps were pleasant and the AC in the bedrooms was a plus. We would definitely book this property again :) »

« This was an epic vacation that had been planned and attempted over the years since 2014. COVID messed ups the last try but finally 2025 we had success. We found this home and thought there was no way it could possibly hold all of us but we were wrong. 6 bedroom and 4 baths, pool onsite, We were close to family who live in Waikoloa and close to all the activities we may have thought about doing. « Easy, lovely, relaxingPlumbing problems for the first few days, but was taken care of. Advertised a golf cart for use, I asked twice if there is one and then was told battery wasn’t working when we got there. After complaining that they did advertise one to use, they came out, found the key and plugged it in. They didn’t have much faith in it working and were told it’s for use to the store and back. What? We ended up renting one to be sure we could get to the beach and back with our beach gear...

Chambre très agréable si vue mer

"Hotel très vieillissant mais si vous avez une chambre en bout de couloir la vue est superbe. Face au lit, vue mer, et balcon sur le côté avec une vue sur une petite crique avec les tortues qui y viennent le soir. "

"We had the best time at Hamakua hotel. First, the manager was very accomodating and generous. The room was beautiful, big, clean, with big windows - so relaxing. And we had the chance to attend the surprise dinner on tuesday night. It was unbelievable. Truly, one of the best dinners in my life. We were amazed and so grateful. The Hamakua hotel is a pricey place to stay, but for the experience that we had, it was all worth it. Beyond expectations. We truly recommend it!"

"Je n’ai pas apprécié mon expérience.. j’entendais la chambre d’à coté parler, prendre leur douche et meme aller à la toilette. Il y avait des insectes mort sous mon oreiller et une forte odeur de moisissure dans ma chambre. La douche était glacée et l’aération de la chambre n’était pas bonne il faisait extrêmement chaud et humide."
