Here are some FAQs:

Do you provide bikes?
- We have 2 adult bikes available in the outside closet.

Do beds come with sheets? If not, what sizes do we need to bring?
- Yes, sheets & towels will be provided for your stay, ready for you to set up when you arrive. One thing that we do not provide are beach towels.

Are dish towels/paper towels/hand soap included?
- Yes, Yes, & Yes. The unit is provided with a complimentary starter kit containing dish soap, dishwasher pods, a new paper towel roll, 2 kitchen trash bags, hand soaps, a new roll of toilet paper for each bathroom along with travel-size soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion.

I see that you do not charge a pet fee. Do we still need to let you know if we are bringing a pet?
- Yes, We have multiple pet related items that we like to put out for our furry friends including pet blankets for the couch & different sized food bowls so knowing ahead of time if you are coming with a pet, and what breed is very helpful.

- Do you offer a highchair, crib, or pack'n play?
We do not have a highchair or crib, but we do have a pack'n-play in the unit.

Are there beach chairs/umbrella?
- No beach chairs or umbrella but the is a beach wagon

Type of coffee maker?
- 1 regular coffee pot & 1 French Press

Is the pool heated?
- Yes

How long will the pool be opened for?
- The Beach Club at Whalehead pool is scheduled to open on April 1, 2025 through October 31, 2025, weather permitting. The pool hours are from 9:00am until dark.

Is there a washer/dryer
- Yes

Do you provide laundry detergent
- Yes. We provide 2 laundry pods

Do you provide Bath towels
- Yes

Is there a propane/functional outdoor grill
- Yes

Do you allow for extended stays?
- Yes we allow for stays up to 1 month. Any stay of 2 weeks or longer will receive a "mid-stay" clean and an additional cleaning fee.

Upon arrival, we were thrilled to find everything we needed and wanted to do was within walking distance: beach, restaurants, convenience stores, shopping, the sound, mini golf, ice cream! The property is very well kept: clean, organized, well stocked kitchen (which we cooked in several times), exactly as described, and comfortable furniture. It was the first time we had to bring our own linens on a vacation (sheets, towels, wash cloths), but we didn't mind. We also utilized the washer, dryer and dishwasher during our stay. The size of the unit was perfect for our family of 4. We really enjoyed the provided parking pass for the 4 wheel drive beach just a mile or so up the road which was much less crowded than the public beach. The owners were quick to reply to any questions we had before and during our trip. Thanks to Salty Kisses for a relaxing and memory making week for our family!

My adult daughter and I had fabulous stay. We had our dogs with and the area is very dog friendly. And's many things to do with our dogs and some without but we were able to walk or ride the bikes to get to them all. And at the end of the day we were able to relax. The condo had everything we needed.

Absolutely love this property and area. They work well for my wife and I and our Lab. Everything is within walking distance. 3 min to the beach. 3 min to the Lighthouse. And restaurants near by. Great place to just check out for a bit, relax and unwind. The property amenities are coming along with the pool and fitness room now open.

My husband and I and our dog Luna stayed here for the weekend. It was the perfect location for what we wanted-a relaxing, comfortable, get-away weekend. We loved being in this part of Corolla, especially in the off-season. No traffic, easy access to uncrowded beaches for driving and hanging out. The cottage's location near Historic Corolla Park was perfect. We could walk across the road to see the sunset on the sound as well as climb the lighthouse for amazing views. A cute shopping/restaurant area is in walking distance which was perfect for our morning coffee and bakery haul.The cottage had everything we needed-including dog bowls! The living room was very comfy for relaxing and movie watching. The electric fireplace is a nice addition. Everything was immaculate. We also loved being able to see the lighthouse while sitting on the front patio. Highly recommend!

In spite of a difficult weather situation and a pup with dementia which cut our stay from 7 days to 3 full days the property, the host and hostess and accommodations could not have been better. This was our second time staying here. Walk in and you are ready to go with everything needed for a great week at the beach. It is clean, well appointed and no stairs to navigate. Staff is available but unobtrusive. Love this property!

Amazingly clean, cleanest rental Iā€™ve ever stayed in. It has everything you need for a comfortable vacation.. Remember to bring your own sheets and towels- I actually liked using my own, felt more like home. The location is wonderful- short walk to the beach. The pool is great, goes from 2-5 ft. One thing to note- the front of the unit faces open beach parking. There were a lot of people stopping to empty their tires on the way to the 4x4 beach. We werenā€™t bothered by them- the walls on the unit are so thick you canā€™t hear anything through them. But, it made sitting out front in the mornings less enjoyable. Not a huge concern but it is worth mentioning. Beautiful view of the lighthouse from the front porch though and being so close to the walkway to the beach was a plus so the location was great overall. We loved being across the street from the Corolla Park- definitely check out the Cork and Craft event on Wedndays from 3-6, and we enjoyed checking out the Maritime Museam and Lighthouse which were right there as well. Also- there is a delicious BBQ place for lunch and a quaint beer garden all within walking distance- these were highlights as well. Thank you to the owners for pointing these things out to us! We would definitely stay here again or look to stay at other properties from this owner as they have done a wonderful job thinking of anything you may need during your stay.

Stayed with family of 3 and one small dog for a week in June 2023. Cottage on beach access (beach parking pass included), parking space right in front, walking distance to many Corolla spots-beach, pool, lighthouse, historical park, horse tour, mimi golf, bakery/coffee. Cottage had free wifi, tv in every room, pictures are of cottage exactly what you get, 2 bikes and beach wagon with outaide shower available and grill. Very comfortable and quiet. Would return anytime.

Excellent property in OBX. J-P is a wonderful host and communicator. The property is centrally located to all amenities in Corolla and has easy access to the beach. Very clean and comfortable property. It is important to mention that this property is located adjacent to an active construction site (as of April 7, 2023). This is not a big deal and did not disrupt our stay, but it is worth mentioning. We would stay there again because of the comfort, cleanliness, and convenience.
