Une expérience unique
Attention, hôtel légendaire !!!! Dessiné par Arne Jacobsen, cet hôtel ouvert en 1960 est un modèle magnifique du design danois des années 50 et 60. Tout est beau ! Nous avons séjourné dans la chambre 1803 au 18ème étage avec une vue sublime sur Copenhague et sur le parc de Tivoli. Le concierge de l’hôtel, francophone nous a fait visiter la mythique suite 606 (qu’il faut absolument voir !) ainsi que le 20ème étage (salle de réception fermée actuellement) qui offre une vue démentielle à 180 degrés ! Ce n’était pas un séjour à l’hôtel, c’était une expérience unique !

Un séjour très bien!
L'hôtel de style international est très bien pour ceux qui aiment les gros hôtels. Par contre, les chambres rénovées ne sont pas dans le ton original du design de Arne Jacobsen. C'est très bien mais ça n'a rien à voir avec le design original de la chambre 606. Ainsi, pour vivre cette soit disant expérience d'immersion dans le design danois, le prix est passablement élevé. Le déjeuner est excellent. La situation de l'hôtel est pratique près de la gare, mais ce n'est pas dans le coin le plus convivial de Copenhague. nous avions la chambre 1909 avec une belle vue. Attention au seuil de porte de la salle de bain sur lequel nous nous sommes cognés les orteils plusieurs fois!

The concierge (specifically the jovial 71-year-old gentleman) was extremely helpful and very engaging, one of the best I've experienced in my more than 3 decades of global travels. The hotel is exactly as I remembered it 7 years ago during my first stay, kudos to the team for maintaining it well up to this day!

Prima slaap en badkamer, ook uitstekend ontbijt en locatie is op steenworp van het centraal station en Tivoli. Minpunt qua entertainment (was wel gecommuniceerd bij de receptie bij inchecken: niet alle streaming diensten werken (o.a. Netflix maar ook NPO app deed het niet). Minder was de restaurant diner service: het eten zelf was prima maar service kwam niet checken en na lang wachten ben ik zelfs van tafel moeten gaan om een ober aan te spreken dat ik wilde afrekenen. De receptie heeft dat wel netjes opgelost met uitchecken (korting voor het ongemak).

Very poor value
Very poor value. Rooms were too hot to sleep even with the air con at the lowest setting. My colleagues who stayed here complained about this too. Breakfast is of poor quality. Cheap coffee. Fresh fruit - only pineapples, melons and cheap grapes. Omelette made to order is made from a mixture out of pre-made carton and probably full of UPFs. I felt unwell after eating it. Luckily, bread herring and salmon were great. Dinner was expensive and not the best ingredients one would expect at this price. Utrolig hyggelige ansatte, betalte litt for tidlig innsjekk og fikk nydelig hjørnerom med super utsikt. Det var -5 ute, så ovner sto på fullt. Godt og varmt på rommet men kaldt i restauranten i 1. etg om kvelden
