« This is the second time we've visited the Low Head, George Town area and wanted to stay at the pilot station. We were not disappointed; these charming old buildings are in great condition for their age. We had trouble with the gas heater in our unit but Jodi from the kiosk came to the rescue. The bed was comfortable; the kitchen well stocked with cooking equipment and parking was onsite and close to the unit. These units are old and have some "quirky" features at times. « A great location for driving to other parts of Launceston and surrounding areas. The apartment was spacious and was as shown in the photos. The provision of some essential kitchen supplies was appreciated. The only down sides were that while the bathroom was recently renovated unfortunately the door could not be fully closed. Kitchen cleaning may need a little more attention as grease covered one of the elements (easily removed by heating the element) on an otherwise clean stove and the cups...
