Conseil d'Oberon : Cabanes

« We got there in the middle of winter so it was very cold, and the weather was terrible. However, when the sun came out it improved. The fire heaters are a bit inadequate for heating in the dead o winter but should be suitable for the rest of the year. Otherwise, it was clean and reasonably well equipped. Plenty of hot water for showers and cooking. »

« Clean and well equipped property, not far from Lithgow. Nice views of mountains. Comfortable pillow. »

« Lovely little cabin in an amazing location, gorgeous views and so close to great walks. The owners left lots of thoughtful reccomendations and tips for seeing the area as well. »

« Problem finding key and code after incorrect details were given. When that was sorted out we enjoyed our stay.Guests should be advised that there are two properties on the same block. »

« What a beautiful place to stay and relax. Everything your heart may desire. Nessy, your host is warm and welcoming and she went up and beyond to greet us at 9.30pm. If you want an out of the way setting, close to Bathurst (20 mins), A great olace to stay for Bathurst 1000 enthusiasts to stay. »

« This is quite a quirky property, we loved it. Four bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen, (note, only one bathroom, which was fine for us but might inconvenience a larger group) a wood fireplace and a stunning view over the Megalomg Valley. Georgina was a great host, easy to get in touch with and quick to respond. We’d love to go back in the warmer months to enjoy the garden and the view. »

« We stayed at the cottage the end of June, so it was fairly cold. The fire was effective at keeping the cottage cosy, and the oil heater was a good backup through the night. A great place for a peaceful escape, nice rural outlook, sunset through the trees, Kookaburras at day break, a nice verandah which catches the afternoon sun. Easy country drive to places of interest and great eateries. Friendly, obliging hosts ***** »
