« The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. « A lovely rural hotel set in beautiful scenery with gorgeous views and a high standard of cleanliness. The staff are fantastic, especially Lee who was attentive to your breakfast needs and was always so warm and friendly. He also gave us lots of recommendations of what to do and where to go. « Whilst my room was small, it had all I needed. The highlight was the staff: reception and bar/restaurant staff were excellent. Polite, attentive, efficient.
