« Although the host was right next door we did feel we had our privacy. The cabin had many personal family photos which made us feel a little like we were invading their space. So as constructive criticism perhaps a little less personal items would make future renters feel more at home. All in all the hiking was fun and the property provided a restful and relaxing time. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. »

« I arrived later than planned so I got lost in the dark trying to find the place. Super cute and cozy. Close to the lake and restarting/bar. There is no heat, but the owner provided a space heater. I love the cold so I didn’t need it. »

« Had another great long holiday winter weekend at this property with friends and family. Easy access to Elk Mtn for skiing, fun playing on the frozen lake and cozy evenings by the wood stove and TV. Long dirt road to get there but wasn’t hard to navigate and still a close drive to general store (Cables), convenience store/pizzaria (Arlo’s) or restaurants (The Beacon) for weekend needs. « We had a wonderful vacation at Newton Lake! We are formally from Scranton, and it was so nice to have our siblings come to visit. The grandkids loved the kayaks and paddleboards. They spent hours in the lake every day. The cottage was very nice and there was plenty of space for everyone. The extra fridge was a great plus. Our only suggestion is to have a switch for the spotlight so that we could turn it on at night. It was a struggle walking up to the house in the dark. »
