« This was such a beautiful cabin on a beautiful property. In the springtime, it looks like a secret garden on the grounds, with all of the flowers blooming and trees budding. The hot tub was great, as were the outdoor seating areas. There are plenty to choose from, especially for big parties! Everything was so extremely clean. Hats off to the cleaner! « We had a wonderful stay! The house has great architectural features and is beautifully decorated with art pieces. The views of the lake are amazing. Our host was very attentive and even added Christmas decorations for our holiday stay. The location was great. We enjoyed local eats in downtown Smithville and hiking near Burgess Falls and Window Cliffs. »

« Door lock did not work , couch on second floor needs to be thrown away . None of the tv’s worked when we arrived . Ice maker did not work . Hot tub needs a better cover because it wouldn’t get hot . Pool table needs to be replaced or taken off the list of amenities because most side rails are broke . The housekeeper needs to be replaced ! At least half of the lightbulbs were blown throughput the house ! We take this trip every year for 8 years and this is definitely the worse place we have...

« We absolutely loved all the windows in the kitchen and great room! The sunsets were beautiful! The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed to make some great meals. The kids loved all the games and activities available. Check-in was super easy and the hosts are great! »

« This property was great for our girl’s get away. The upstairs beds were comfortable, the one downstairs not so much. The downstairs couch/tv/game table set up was so comfortable and there were a lot of games, even a dart board! Hot tub was perfect. Fire pit was nice, but limited seating room. Super clean!! Porches were amazing with a view that can’t be beat. No railings off the bottom porch, so not ideal for families with small children at all. Loved this place and definitely plan on a return...

« The host cancelled our stay for this place and gave us other choices so this review is technically for Scout’s Hideaway. Hallway bathroom was unusable. Smelled like sewer two days before we checked out. Slow drains in the hallway bathroom. Bugs everywhere in the house. Oven and grill need to be replaced. Grill is not usable.
