« If I could give this place 6 stars I would. Charming and very clean. We liked the old obx atmosphere - with a nice update. Great location with ocean views. The pool was refreshing with ample chairs. There’s a crow’s nest with pergola. Screened in porch on cottage 11 was spacious enough to have dinner outside and still have room to hang towels. « This little cottage was so cute and comfortable. The amenities supplied were fantastic. The kitchen had pots, pans, dishes, silverware etc right down to kitchen towels and dish soap. Loved that there was a Keurig coffee maker with supplied pods. The bathroom was stocked with hair shampoo, conditioner, towels, toilet paper and even bathroom spray. We brought a lot of our own supplies but they really weren’t needed. The bed we slept in was comfortable and the black out curtains were a nice touch....

« The cottage itself was cute and if properly cleaned and maintained it would have been wonderful. The floor/tiles in one bathroom were loose, in the other bathroom the floor felt "squishy" and there were multiple broken/cracked shelves in the shower. Two of the burners on the stove did not work and when using the stove/oven there was smoke. The window when opened to alleviate the smoke would not stay open. This property allows pets and unfortunately their cleaning and repairs do not keep up with...

« Chase was a fantastic host — incredibly kind, responsive, and thoughtful throughout our stay. The house itself was large, fun, and perfect for a group, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy. The location was also great — just a quick walk to the beach and super close to stores and restaurants. Chase went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, and his communication was always prompt and considerate. Highly recommend staying here! »

« Blackbeard’s Retreat was clean, however could use an update. Awesome location, could benefit from an outdoor hose or shower, we needed to rinse off with the neighbor’s hose. It suited our needs for a couple days. »
