« We were very pleased with our stay at The Golden Pheasant. The staff were pleasant and actively supportive to ensure that our stay at their property was comfortable and that we enjoyed the attractions of the area. In particular, Maria, the innkeeper, gave us very good insights into the local highlights, a few of which we would have overlooked if not for her. The included breakfast was delicious and filling. « We were greeted by a man in a tattered sweatshirt in the main house. Then We were taken to the room in a carriage house across a dark parking lot. There were no lights in the entry and there was an sunken entry to the room we nearly fell into the room. There were remains from the previous logger including dirty glasses and trash.
