The grounds were saturated and it was raining during our stay so it was difficult to park into the gravel and walk across that grass over to the suite with our luggage and checking in and taking her things of all them stairs. « Wonderful property!! Something for everyone, private location, calm and relaxing, fun for kids. Plenty of bedrooms and comfortable beds. This is a hidden gem, was actually sad to leave and get back to the real world. Would recommend to everyone. The pictures really didn’t do it justice; we spent the first 30 minutes or so just being in awe. I live in the Wheeling area and needed a place to gather all my grandkids (my house too small); it’s perfect for large family or friends to gather. ...

« Beautifully decorated, especially if you love elephants. There are six bedrooms and they are all very comfortable. Bathrooms were very clean and shower was great upstairs. Lots of amenities ! The place could have used a deep clean. There was a lot of dust on the blinds and some of the coffee cups in the kitchen needed a wash. Some surfaces of items were also dusty. We wished there would have been a common bathroom on the first floor instead of just the ensuite one. We missed having a Keurig....

« Great experience overall! Just be cautious and don’t make the mistake I made and leave baked goods slightly unwrapped or else you will attract ants. My mistake! We could hear a few rowdy guests at the property down the road, but overall it felt private and quiet. We heard tons of birds and we were grateful for the dog tie in the yard. »

« We grew up in Wheeling and needed a place to stay for a family reunion. This house worked well for 5 of us. It is a quaint victorian style house in a quiet little neighborhood. The wood work is beautiful and the house is cozy, we loved the front porch! The host answers messages promptly. We do have to say that the house could use a deep clean. The baseboards need dusted and some vacuuming needs done. The stove was not clean, but luckily we didn't need to use it. Also the listing says 2...

« This was our second time my daughter and I have stayed here. It is like staying at Grandmas house, very comfortable and welcoming. The owners are also very friendly and welcoming. The parking are is very adequate to two vehicles. We enjoyed our stays. »
