Took my kayak down to the Kentucky river and paddled up Dix river. It's perfect for seeing Kentucky river's old locks, bridges, and stone cliffs.
Dix River meanders it's way from the Kentucky River to Lake Herrington. Tall limestone cliffs stand just off the bank on both sides. I really don't think Kentucky gets enough love for it's scenery. I didn't know Kentucky had cliffs like this before moving here.
On-site Replica of 1784 Log Meeting House in downtown Danville, KY. Great park for a picnic and stroll downtown. Amusingly, the replica jail sits 100meters from a historic tavern. Not so amusingly, the replica jail is quarantined off by display glass and the tavern is now a gift shop or something as disappointing. Nonetheless, made for a fantastic afternoon
