« Such a cute, historic space. Great location for visiting our family in St Louis and allowed us to easily walk to historic St Charles for ice cream and charm. Convenient to drug stores and fast food as well. Welcome book and snacks were also a nice touch! Our family of five enjoyed our stay. »

« Great historic area and property was conveniently located for our visit to Alton & Grafton.The restaurant right across the street was a great spot for dinner our first night. The room arrangements worked out great with two bedrooms on one side of home and the other one on opposite (above garage loft).Stairs to two bedroom side are steep and narrow - fine for our stay but would create issues for elderly guests.Would definitely consider staying again if available during our next visit down. »

The backyard setup shown in the listing was not there — the deck was missing, and there were no patio cushions, which made the outdoor space much less usable than advertised.The bigger issue was the cleanliness. « The place was in a beautiful, peaceful setting that was very private; wrap-around porch, cattle farm next door, screened in porch. There was plenty of room for everyone.While we enjoyed the place, it was a bit dissappointing to find the refrigerator in need of cleaning. Additionally, we found that the microwave and gas fire pit not in working order. The kitchen was also missing a cheese grator and scissors.Bring water to this place. While it is potable, it tastes bad. »
