« This was my first trip back to Wise and Dickinson Counties in 30 years and the first time for my friends. This house was a wonderful base for day trips in different directions. The space was perfect for a good night sleep to get you ready for another busy day. »

« The property is great. Very well kept both inside and out.The rear porch by the bubbling brook is very enjoyable. The view from the front porch is great as well. Plenty of clean towels and wash clothes. Only 2 minor items to mention. The water in the shower is poor and the front door gets stuck on the uneven floor. These items did not affect our stay. We would recommend this property to anyone. »

« This newly remodeled home was perfect for our family. There were four of us but there was room for two more to sleep. Everything was so clean! We loved the fact that the owner immediately responded when we had questions. The house is walking distance to the cute main street in Big Stone Gap and there are lots of beautiful hiking paths in the nearby mountains. We would definitely stay here again. »

« Even being dog friendly this property was kept very clean, the beds were comfortable and the home was very spacious! »

« We came in to town for Thanksgiving. We generally stay with family but wanted our own place this time around. The pictures were spot on. It is a large home and has plenty of space to spread out if needed. The beds were cozy. We spent our evenings watching tv in the living room with the fireplace on. Pretty close to everything. Quiet little neighborhood. »

« The stay was better than I imagined it would be. Beautiful country view with green meadows and cows. So much history in this house. So many things in the house reminded me of my mother. Very quiet, comfortable and clean. It is the best place we have stayed. The communication with Nell was better than great. He stayed up late to help us find our way. We arrived in the dark and Nell was ready for us with the lights on so we could safely enter the house. I can’t wait to return and book this country...
