« The place was clean and quaint.  The location was nice, just a short drive to the Gorge and various hiking places. The price was reasonable.  I would stay here again however it did not have a deadbolt lock or even someway to lock the door only from the inside.  The area was fairly nice however I just feel safer with the extra lock. Also the only way to heat the cabin was a little propane heater that work great but we were afraid we were going to burn the place to the ground if we left it on...

« Key pickup was no problem. Nice home-base for day hiking in the park; tho located on a state route, the parkway runs just behind so noise might be an issue during warmer months. The bigger bed is not a queen... (nor is it a king). The shower is not suitable for tall or big people »

« Everything about Carroll Cabin was wonderful. It was absolutely immaculate, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, but best of all were the thoughtful little touches that made it feel like a home. The location was perfect for easily accessing the trails in Red River Gorge. »

« Great cabin in a great location. It could stand to be cleaned more thoroughly in general, and the kitchen is not super well stocked (no strainer or measuring cups, no baking pans, and not a single cooking spoon that wasn’t slotted). That said, when we had an issue with the hot tub, they came out first thing the next morning to fix it. Despite the minor limitations, we all agree we would stay here again. »

« The property was mostly as represented on the VRBO listing.It was pretty clean (some of the area rugs needed to washed or vacuumed and some of the floor hadn't been swept.) There was plenty of light, both natural and lighting in the cottage. The location was secluded and private. I didn't like that how far from things didn't seem accurately represented. The 2nd bedroom was misrepresented by a different view of the 1st bedroom. The 2nd bedroom wasn't as private since the kitchen had a window that...

« Excellent property! The decor had us smiling the second we walked in. It was very clean, spacious and we felt at home. Added bonus was being greeted by the neighborhood dogs and being able to visit with JJ. We hope to plan another long weekend in the area so we can spend time on the back patio and enjoy a fire.
