« Traveling with a lot of people can be difficult. This was the easiest part of our trip and my grand babies loved the front porch and toys in the house. Perfect all around! Thank you! »

« Absolutely fabulous stay. My family stayed here to celebrate my birthday and WOW! The front porch , the view, the spacious home and fabulous kitchen, watching the fireworks from the porch, what a fun peaceful place. The closeness to everything Shiner has to offer was awesome. The dipping pool was great to dip into after a very hot afternoon at Spoetzel Shinerfest. We all loved the jack rabbits and cottontails, the turkeys , and those cows! « There was a music festival near and we found this hidden gem! Very nice farmhouse. Cozy, clean, everything we needed! And great fishing near by that was all in one when you book the property! We all loved it so much! Ty for sharing your property with us! »

« We celebrated my husbands 80 th birthday. Family joined us from East and West coasts. The party barn saved the day when we had some heavy rains the first couple days. Later when the skies cleared we played the tourist in Columbus and everyone enjoyed the little shops and learning about local Texas history. »

« We all had a great time ; especially our granddaughters. James and Marty are excellent hosts. They took the time introduce all the animals to our granddaughters including the goats, chickens, turkey, rabbits and peacocks. The girls got to hold and feed a baby peacock. The accommodations were perfect for us. Thanks for the goat milk for Susan’s coffee. We highly recommend staying at the Byrd’s Nest. »
