« Spacious, beautiful, great amenities, Really well designed/appointed and comfortable. Loved our stay in the Echols suite - Historic, near downtown, short 1/2 hour drive to mile zero of magnificent Blue Ridge Highway! Only two negatives - the front slate walkway in need of repair or clean up - many loose pieces. Although access was secure and easy without onsite staff, two emails requesting early check-in/late checkout went unanswered. Do not know if other concerns would have been addressed....

« Beautiful pastoral, location, self service (no staff or registration), comfortable beds, very clean room and bathroom. Nice gathering space with coffee/tea available. We did experience quite a bit of noise from the guests (who arrived after midnight) directly above us and since we were the only two rooms (8 suites total available) I’m not sure why they had us together and not separated. Both the bathroom and closet doors did not fully close without slamming them forcefully. »

« The place is pretty neat to stay in, really a wide open space. The only issue I have is at night you can hear the air and plumbing due to it being a basement, but you get use to it. The views are beyond believe in the morning. Be sure to follow the directs to get there and arrive prior to sunset to help you park your vehicle. I would recommend this to a family for the game room and the wide open space. »
