« Lovely 3 bedrooms. Has a shared kitchen. Hosts are lovely and very accommodating to any needs. Stayed with another couple. Each room has mini split so great when weather gets warmer. Not hard to find with maps and back deck is large and accommodating. »

« This was an ideal place for us to stay - short trip to visit family in the area. We like the convenience of a kutchen to make tea, coffee and quick snacks. Location was ideal and the host was lovely - so friendly. Suite had everything we needed, plus extra touches such as toiletries and tea and coffee were provided. »

« It was a great spot »

« The place was very clean, it had everything we needed. The area is nice and plenty of walking trails and lakes. The host was nice and accommodating. The building could use more spund proofing as we could hear toddlers and stomping, but other than that everything was perfect. I can't wait to come back again. »

« We had a wonderful stay at this property. Our host Sue was wonderful. She was so frienfly and helpful, as well as full of great recommendations. We very much appreciated the brand new bbq and outdoor furniture. The location was perfect for us as a home base to explore the East Coast, and just minutes on foot from Fisherman's Cove. The backyard view was ICONIC east coast and peaceful. Thanks for a wonderful stay. »

« What a spot! It was so wonderful to have a rocky beach to explore. The home is beautiful and has everything you might need! It was very quiet and relaxing . If we head this way again, we would stay here again! »

« This was an amazing property somehow cozy, but with plenty of space. We stayed with our two daughters and everyone had plenty of room We were surrounded inside by inspirational paintings, sculpture and other artwork and outside Mother Nature at her best with a picturesque view from the house and porch areas. « We were two families who stayed at the serene modern lakehouse when we traveled to NS to attend a family funeral. We had great communication with the host. The house is very large and served us well for our large group; lots of different spaces to spread out. « Wow! Whalesback Cottage was the Nova Scotia oceanside escape that we were looking for. Our own private space – no traffic … no crowds … and the only sounds were the waves hitting the rocks. We spent countless pleasant hours watching the tides change the view … scanned the ocean with binoculars looking for the whales folks see occasionally. "J'ai apprécié mon passage à l'hôtel HFX et surtout la navette pour venir de l'aéroport et y retourner le lendemain. Le personnel est agréable, il y avait une forte affluence le matin au petit-déjeuner mais le personnel a veillé à remplir le buffet quand des produits manquaient."
