The air conditioning is a window unit in the front room, but the host provides plenty of fans. There are two bedrooms, but the first has cut-outs in the upper walls, and the second doesn't have a door right now, so privacy is limited. The living/dining area is very spacious and comfortable. »

« This place is an absolute gem! Perfect location right on the Main Street with big windows and comfy chairs to watch it all go by. Lovely historic building that has been impeccably updated and really very luxurious. I was worried that the upstairs loft would be cramped- it was cozy but had plenty of room and didn't feel crammed in at all. « The location was perfect, just a short walk from downtown. The Artistic Retreat was exceptionally clean, and the bed was very comfortable, making for a relaxing stay. We especially enjoyed using the sauna, which was an added bonus. During one of our walks downtown, we had the pleasure of meeting the owners. It was fascinating to learn about the history of the property and hear about their impressive artistic backgrounds. We highly recommend the Artistic Retreat. »

The unit was extremely clean. Everything is within a good walk from this unit. My partner and I enjoyed walking to the river and back.
