On your future tour of Georgia you may want to stop by Berry College. Just a hour and a half away from Atlanta it's an easy way to experience the foothills of the smokies.

This is the Berry college mill. Constructed in 1930, the wooden overshot waterwheel, considered one of the largest in the world at 42 feet in diameter, was constructed by student workers. The Old Mill is operated on special occasions, such as Mountain Day. When available, the Oak Hill Gift Shop sells cornmeal ground at the Old Mill.

« Lovely home in downtown Lafayette. « Host was incredibly communicative and helpful, and we were very impressed with the amenities(especially the kitchen!)
