« Room was clean and cozy and warm with its personal fireplace. Offered a tremendous view of the lake and had a personal balcony. Staff was incredibly friendly and the owner could not have been more accommodating. Nothing went unattended or ignored. Best visit I’ve ever had to the area. Highly recommend! »

« The Paddler's Retreat is REALLY out of the way. We enjoyed our stay however, people need to understand that all services are limited. Due to Covid there is only a very limited breakfast, mostly cold. If you want tea, you will need to use the microwave. The range is not available. « After booking, Donna called me to confirm my stay and ask my arrival time. I appreciated it. It was a cold day with a temperature dropping to below 30 degrees. Taking bath in the big bathtub kept me warm all night even without heater. The heater was noisy when operating. Thus, it was good I took a warm bath and shut off the heater. »
