« This property exceeded our expectations. The house was exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained, the rooms were large, and the very high ceilings added to the feeling of spaciousness. The bathroom was outstanding - whirlpool tub, walk in shower, double sinks, separate toliet compartment. We had a rainy day and really enjoyed the gas fireplace. We spent a lovely week during the 'shoulder' season here and it was the ideal size for the three of us (me, girlfriend, & our dog). « The house is well maintained. Check-in was very easy. The house is located in the woods in a bit of a labyrinth of small roads. The kitchen facilities were great. Craig had recently purchased a new set of pots and pans that were in excellent condition. Craig was extremely helpful and welcoming. Everything functioned well from the stove to the bathroom. »

« Highly recommend. We loved the tranquility. This was a perfect escape from noise. The beautiful bird calls over morning coffee on the porch, and daily visits from a doe and her fawn were special. We hiked several miles on the beautiful trails. Van's Butterfly Cottage is cozy, immaculate, and has a calming decor. Van is a very attentive and superb host. Thank you, Van! »

« Wow! What a spot! I almost don’t want to review it so i can gatekeep it!! But I can’t keep this from anyone- perfect beach house. PERFECT location for a relaxing, disconnected, beach vacation in nature. West Tisbury is so special and lamberts cove beach is an absolute dream. There are walking trails at the end of the road, grocery store and breakfast spot very close. We had the best time, and cannot wait to go back. »

« The property is just as cute an convenient as advertised. It was our first time bringing our dog on vacation, and he loved the fenced-in yard. (Note for pet owners, he could get out to the driveway if he tried.) The sunset and sunrise walks were amazing, especially with the nature preserves on the road. Beds were very comfortable. We loved all the little touches the owners provide. If you like nature and don't mind some short walks, this is the place. We also loved rhe history and backstory. »

« My 2nd time staying here and I absolutely love it! I love that it is pet friendly and has a fenced in patio area. (the 3 br unit has a bigger yard with a grassy area- one side is “fenced” with thick vegetation.)Location is GREAT - about 1/2 mile walk to the beach, to beautiful sunsets, and into town. Right on the bike trail, bus route, and across the street from walking trails! Hosts were very responsive and even let me know when my bungalow was ready early for check in.Both times they left...
