« The property was unique because the room we had was called the Honeymoon Suite. It had an entire kitchen plus a master suite with separate shower and an old fashioned four legged tub. Plus we had a private balcony and a separate entrance to come and go. Our scene each morning that we woke up to was a river with a pier where my husband fished. Ms. Debbie was pleasant, sweet and a perfect host who welcomed us with open arms. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a beautiful time.😊 »

« I stayed here in lieu of a hotel room in Salisbury for a work trip and it was worth the drive, only about 20 minutes from Salisbury. Heidi is extremely hospitable, her breakfast is excellent, including authentic English tea. It was very quiet, air conditioning worked amazingly well considering this is an old home, c 1800’s. The decor is adorable. The town is quite charming. Heidi made dining recommendations and did her utmost to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. My only regret is I...

« This was a perfect getaway weekend! The lodge is in a remote area, which is so quiet. We enjoyed kayaking, going for a boat ride with the owner, Gary, and just walking around the village.Peggy stayed in touch with me throughout the time before our visit as well as during the visit even though she was not able to be there for the weekend. Debbie was our hostess and she was wonderful! The lodge is so unique and comfortable. »

« The owner, Mr Harwood, is an amazing historian and you'll be delighted by his stories while enjoying David's wonderful breakfasts each morning, This is an early 1900's mansion which is within walking distance to several very good restaurants. »

« I loved this place. There was an update in 2016 and someone made the mistake of getting white carpet. Live and learn. The bed was comfortable, there was a variety of pillows, the tavern shuts down at 9:00 so its all quiet by 11:00 p.m. The tavern is superb. I’d eat there again in a heartbeat. The place is old and has some quirks and that’s something that you either like because you like historical places or you don’t because you like modern things. I’d stay here again. »
