« Our family enjoyed our stay at Schuss Haven very much! It was a great location, close to torch lake but quietly tucked in beautiful pines. We enjoyed the fire pit outside. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. Host was very easy to work with! »

« This property more than exceeded our expectations. The property was clean and inviting and felt like home. The host was very easy to communicate with, and we were greeted with a welcome basket. We spent a holiday weekend exploring local attractions, all within 15 minutes of the property. In our down time my children enjoyed the game and craft closet. We spent a full afternoon at the pool which was also kid friendly. Highly recommend! We can't wait to come back. »

« House was simple and a great place to stay. Pictures were slightly deceptive. Based on pictures it appears the property is on the water but it is not. There is a property that you are able to use to access the lake. »

« We had an amazing stay at Shanty Creek Resort! The home was perfect for my family of 10 there was more than enough room for everyone to be comfortable, and the location was ideal with the slopes just a few minutes’ drive away. The host was fantastic and very responsive to any questions we had, which made the whole experience even better. This place was a 10 out of 10, and we would absolutely stay here again! »

« We ended up having a very nice time but when we got to property it was very musty in basement and kitchen cubbards.. there were mouse traps throughout middle floor and 5 year old granddaughter almost picked one up . We did see a dead mouse .. the grill was very small .. so had to purchase a grill, get propane for properly grill, get 2 Candle air wicks and air freshener .. the cleaning people were waiting for us to leave at 955. Check out was at 10. Floors creaky and only one basement entrance .....

« Very comfortable and clean. Great use of the space for accommodating multiple guests. The kitchen was well-stocked. The flow restrictor on the showerhead was a minor inconvenience but was still useable. I would stay here again and will recommend it to family and friends. »

« Just as described. Perfectly cozy, well appointed and so close to skiing! The hosts thought of everything you need for a great stay. Super clean, all kitchenware beautiful and bathroom items in great condition. Highly recommend this spot for a stay at Shanty Creek!! »

« The perfect place to stay for a ski weekend! The house was a great size for every family to hang out together or have their own separate spaces. The sauna and hot tub were a huge plus as well! We’ll definitely be back! »

Even followed up with questions after our stay. We marked this for future use, and compared to local properties, it’s affordable and better than shared condo. »
