« The pictures didn’t do this place justice — it’s even more beautiful in person! The fall views over the orchard were stunning and we loved watching deer wander by in the early morning and at dusk. The rooms were perfectly sized, the kitchen was perfectly stocked and there were tons of games and movies for the kids. The host was incredible and gave us great local recommendations for things to do and places to eat. A perfect, quiet fall getaway — we can’t wait to return! »

« This was a bait and switch. The pool was the only really nice part of this house. The rest of it, inside and the whole property was really old, and a lot of it was dirty. The swing set was filthy and the tennis court which had an old garden over parts of it were both unusable. The gazebo and dock were falling apart with nails sticking up. « It is a quaint, nicely appointed house, just enough for our family of three and a dog. The neighborhood around the lake is very quiet, and you can listen to woodpeckers pecking. There are many hiking trails within 30-min drive. It's a great place to get away from the city. The owners responded to my questions and concerns promptly. »

« Everything about our stay was fantastic. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need (slow cooker, Dutch oven, kitchen aid mixer, food processor, coffee and espresso machine, etc), the hosts are extremely communicative, and the house is clean, large and spacious. Perfect for a big group (there were 10 of us). The pool was great, property was gorgeous and was everything we were looking for. We would absolutely stay here again if Gabriel and Annabel allowed it. 10/10 all around. »

« My friend and I had a wonderful stay in Hillsdale. Nina and Mitch were friendly, helpful hosts, and their place is lovely. It's not clear from the description, but the actual space is in the basement, so be warned, those beautiful mountain views are not available from the couches or bedrooms. This wasn't really a problem for us, but it was a surprise (the description reads "bottom floor"). On the upside, without the natural light we enjoyed sleeping in much later than we might have otherwise! »

« This is our 4th year staying in Hillsdale post-Christmas but this house is the FIRST that had EVERYTHING we needed--spacious bedrooms. easy access to the woods, a beautiful "no traffic" road to take walks up, spectacular views, plenty of "hang-out" space for everyone, a fireplace.
