« While on a motorcycle road trip, I stayed for one night at the Owl’s Perch on September 28th. It is a charming private wood cabin adjacent to the house of the hosts, Doug and Alice. It is quite a unique and peaceful accommodation in Robbinsville, NC, 30 min from the city accessible through a beautiful winding road while being very close to scenic roads and scenery like the Dragon’s tail road. « We enjoyed our first stay so much that we came back for a second visit. One of our favorite things about this property is the sound of the river—it’s wonderfully loud and relaxing. Throughout the day, we enjoyed hearing the laughter and excitement of the rafters passing by, and it was equally enjoyable to sit in the chairs and watch fly fishermen cast their lines.The rental is located within a small gated area that feels private and secluded, even though the road is just beyond the tree line....

« We had a wonderful stay! The location is perfect—just a short walk to Glen Falls, less than 1.5 miles from the supermarket, and close to everything Highlands has to offer. What made this cabin truly special was how it made me feel. Staying here brought me back to my parents’ summer house—wooden, warm, and full of love. It felt like stepping into the past, when life was simpler, evenings were quiet, and reading a good book was all we needed.Thank you for sharing such a peaceful, welcoming place....
