« We celebrated my parents 70th anniversary at Rita's. We had the entire place. This is a very large property and it was perfect for our event. Very clean and well equipped. Mike the maintenance man stopped by to ensure all was good and said to call at any time if we needed anything. The pool was amazing and was loved by all from my 8 month old great grandson to my 89 year old mom. The young adults loved all the room for lawn games and the fire pit at night. Everyone is already talking...

« The house was exactly as advertised. It was well stocked, clean and ready for us to enjoy the beautiful sunsets, a large patio, a fireplace, a beach, quietness and privacy. Best place to relax. The Louisbourg Fortress and its trail are exceptional. The owner was very accommodating and prompt to respond. Thank you Elizabeth. »

« Everything was excellent we had fun and enjoyed the pool. Our section was very spacious and enough room for the 4 of us. Very nice location and close drive into Sydney. Only feedback I have is there was not enough pots & pans to cook properly and adding more cooking utensils. »

« My stay was perfect. Having spent my summers on the Bras d’Or lake as a child I knew what I was getting with regards to lake (it is clear, warmer than the ocean, salt water —perfect to me!), but this was my first stay at Lakeside Luxury. I booked the cottage which was a great option for privacy, the screened porch was perfect for the mornings and evenings to get away from bugs. The bed was very comfortable and so was the sofa and there were some really great finishes in the cottage to give it...

« We wish we could live at Rita’s retreat all the time! Our room was nice and cozy. The backyard is so spacious and peaceful all the way down to the water. The indoor saltwater pool was icing on the cake! Mike was very accommodating, helpful and fun to talk to— I recommend Rita’s Retreat! »

« A quiet, peaceful location in a cozy, comfortable cottage with an amazing view. »

« Isolate and quiet with an access to the lake. Beautiful sunset and place the take a cup of wine.All the furnitures is pretty new. Expect provisions, groceries store , dinner and other isn't close. Enjoy the BBQ, and for kids the wifi network is excellent. »

« Nous avons apprécié nous retrouver en nature dans ce lieu si calme avec une vue magnifique et de beaux couchers de soleil. Il y a tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner et même quelques aliments pour dépanner le premier soir si on a oublié d'arrêter à l'épicerie. Il faut bien sûr un véhicule à quatre roues motrices pour monter la côte et il peut arriver que le wifi ne soit pas accessible mais ça ne dure pas longtemps. »

« The cabin we stayed at was private with beautiful views of the ocean. We enjoyed watching the seals in the morning and evening at our own overlook with coffee or wine. The host, Ton, was friendly, welcoming and makes a great pannenkoeken for breakfast if you choose to eat at his restaurant. Overall a great start to our vacation and a good base for exploring Cape Breton. »

« This was the first experience we ever had with a Vrbo or similar style of stay. We usually only stay in Hotels however if we are able to stay in places like this again then we will likely only stay here. This property was exactly as advertised and so clean! We had a blast and enjoyed the boats, water, hot tub and all the amenities. We will happily return to this property soon. PS - Make sure to get access to the sauna and community hot tub.
