The property is beautiful! The entire insides of the house were burned at one point after his family sold the property. It was rebuilt inside when someone purchased it but once it was turned into a historical landmark, renovations began to take it back to it original interior. They are following the original plans that Thomas Jefferson created with the help of actual letters that were written to Jefferson’s head contractor at the time the house was being built. It’s going to be beautiful! Sad it’s not the original interior. But has a very interesting story! It $13/pp to tour but worth it!

« Pleasant place to stay with a lovely view of the lake. It is a peaceful setting with lots to offer. Our November stay and the cold snap that moved in toward the end of our visit did not allow for much outdoor time but we had a few hours of sunshine to enjoy the water view from the deck. « This house was perfect for my family's Thanksgiving holiday. There were 9 of us ranging in age from 30 to 88. « We enjoyed the peaceful cove and especially the hot tub and fire pit. The beds were super comfy and the kitchen had good cooking space.
