« This 1950, 587 sq.ft. house had a strong odor of disgusting stale cigarette smoke. Febreeze and 2 cans of Ozium did not rid the sofa, recliner and other furniture of the stink. The front door seemed to be secure but was only very tight and not actually locked, which meant a good push opened the door. Two doors had hook-and-eye latches.The cabinets on the wall in the back bedroom were hung such that we hit it upon entering or leaving. The hot water was scolding hot. « The house and the view are beautiful! Everything was clean and so cute. From the wall paper to the curtains you can tell they really put a lot of thought into the details and design of this rental. Check in and out was extremely easy. We really enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. The house is about 12 minutes from town. If you are staying through the week don’t expect to find many places open. That was something we weren’t expecting but we did find some great food. Highly recommend Tony’s Butcher...

« Love location and owners. Some adjustments are needed, this isn’t camping it’s glamping and you cannot do it halfway. Need more AC in second floor units like this one, our unit was well over 100 degrees when we arrived and never got below 80 degrees inside even when temps dipped outside at night, very uncomfortable. Husband left with our dogs on second night because it was too hot for him and them to even get comfortable enough to sleep. Hot water smelled like sewage when running and no hot...

« The home was very nice for our short trip to Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving. We had everything we needed and the beds were comfy. The house was warm and picturesque. After checkout, we received a strange message suggesting that we tried to tamper with the lock on their owner’s closet as they stated their lock was hard to open. We didn’t even know there was an owners closet. We live in an old house and our door locks are also always finicky. Other than that, our stay was great. »

« These cottages are clean, pet friendly and a great place if you need peace and quiet for a day or 10. They're close to Bedford, PA and other sites to see. They leave great snacks as a welcome and have well stocked bath and kitchen items. The hosts are great at communication as well.. Try the area, you're going to love it!! Might spy an eagle too! »
