« What an incredible getaway! Whispering Pines was so much more than we expected. The home itself was built so thoughtfully and with so much imagination. Attention to detail in every nook and cranny made for the most magical place for our children. It really felt like something out of a storybook, especially the bunk room where the kids stayed. « My family (2 adults, 5 children) had a wonderful time at the Pine Ridge Road cabin. It was a home away from home. I appreciated all the hooks in the cabin to hang things on. -we were there to ski so all the bibs, jackets, sweaters, and hats went on hooks each day. « First, the Good. Great location and beautiful views. Very private. Now, the Bad. My wife and I stayed here over Thanksgiving and were very disappointed. I feel the description of the property was misleading. The grounds were woefully unkept. Plenty of parking but overgrown. There were weeks worth of leaves piled against the front door which had to be removed before entering. « Beautiful property and long weekend by the river in Johnson City TN area. Property management was very attentive and ensured we had a great stay. Two great bakeries (Lazy Lady Baking and Auntie Ruth's) along with a multitude of support services within 15 minutes of our cabin. We experienced superb hiking nearby in the Cherokee Forest. We are already planning on our next stay! »
