« We (my husband, daughter and I)decided to do a weekend away with our friends and their children when we had a wedding in the immediate area. Great location for the festivities we were attending at Shawano County Park Pavillion (>5min drive). Less than 10 min drive to downtown Shawano for the farmer's market on Saturday AM. « My husband and I brought our 2 sons and each brought a friend. The place was well equipped with fun activities for the kids. They have bags/cornhole, kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets, bikes and a huge lake to fish from. We ended our nights around the fire pit and then went inside to play games. There is a nearby public beach accessible by car, bike or walking. Needless to say - the boys were rarely on their phones and that was a huge bonus for us.The owners are wonderful and very responsive....

Some things were found in vaninets/drawers from prior guests, a broken fishing pole was in the back fire pit, and one of the bedrooms seemed to be missing the TV remote. We did alert the host, but seeing as it didn't impact our trip, it really wasn't a big deal. Still, I wanted to share the facts. »
