« Most dangerous environment for a family. Cabin was remotely located with no electricity and indoor toilet. Photographs posted do not do justice. I paid in full but after looking in person chose not stay because of safety, security and privacy. Staff was friendly. »

« Close to town with mutliple sitting areas for groups to gather and talk. Charging stations for electric vehicles. Centrally located in Vermont so fairly easy to go to other Vermont towns within about an hour. »

« The perfect place for a family reunion. Beautiful house, amazing grounds, and wonderful lake fun for adults and little ones alike. Plenty of room for all 10 of us, ages 2 months to 77 years. We ate on the screened porch each night and watched the colorful balloon lift off over the lake and drift away in the breeze. The 3-5-year-olds loved the swimming, kayaking, and fishing, as well as biking on the quiet road. The more adventurous biked all the way around the lake. Everything worked . . . well,...

« We can not wait to come back. This was everything and more than we hoped for. A family getaway in rural Vermont in a perfect setting. The house was amazing, we were a small group, and we can’t wait to go back with a bigger group. »

« Very accommodating, wonderfully unique location in the middle of no where. Our kids hoped off their devices and just had good old fashioned kid fun. It was great to see all the smiles. Loved it! »

« Had a great time staying here. Has everything you need. The property has a big property with fire pit and also along a river to hang at. Quiet and peaceful to relax and get away from life. Went to Warren to ride on the Atv trails. Great location for this. This was our second time at this location. Would go there again. »

« This place has everything you need to travel with a large group. All the details from a baby gate to a hand mixer in the kitchen were thought of. We stayed in July and the window units worked great to keep us comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. »

« Overall impression was instant family. This home is so comfortable and the scenery and location are absolutely off the charts. Views from the back of the house were mind blowing. The rustic charm of the place is just what we wanted and the off-grid lifestyle felt great to espouse, even if just for a vacation. We’ll be looking to book this place for our trip next summer. »

« This property is everything you want from a Northeast Kingdom getaway! The home is well appointed, clean and comfortable. Location is within 20 minutes of good Vermont dining but honestly, you want to stay on property forever! The views, hiking and just peacefulness of it all makes you want to curl up with a blanket, book and enjoy the crisp fall weather. « What an amazing place to stay and enjoy the Mad River Valley! Rachel and her family made the stay perfect, adding special touches that made you feel right at home. The location is fabulous - walking distance to everything you need in Waitsfield and right on the river. Our kiddos loved running around on the property and playing with the cat and bunnies. We’d recommend staying here and hope to visit again someday! »
