« As it turned out, my wife and I were unable to stay at the Captain's Cottage due to a severe weather front that was going through that part of New Jersey when we were scheduled to stay there. The weather was so severe that New Jersey was under a State of Emergency at the time and severe flooding was anticipated. Although we were unable to stay there, I wanted to say that the owner Bryan, was very communicative and kind during this critical time. He understood our concern and was very...

« First the not preferable : Be careful when booking. The second floor rooms (3 rooms) share one small bathroom and there’s no extra first floor bathroom. The first floor bathrooms probably have a private bath. We went through Expedia. Maybe book direct so you can ask questions. Our room came with 2 standard sized towels. When asked, they left a couple more. I’d also prefer my own hand towel instead of sharing with the entire second floor. Closets could use more hanging space. Plenty of...

« At first glance, the room appeared neat and clean, but once we actually had to use the space, we noticed several issues that made our stay uncomfortable. The floors were extremely slippery, the bathroom floor was dirty, and there was an unpleasant smell. The shower was extremely small, to the point where I was afraid to move around too much because I didn’t want my body touching the walls or other surfaces. We also did not feel comfortable sleeping under the motel’s covers, so we ended up using...

« The communication with the host in the beginning was good. Answered all questions I had regarding my reservation, even confirmed the details of the room prior to arrival. (King bed and pull out full size sofa). However this was not the case when we checked in. We got a king size bed and a smaller than a twin bed cot. We didnt get the room we paid for but We managed. I feel this would've been better handled if the on site management had access to and handled the reservations as well as the...

« This place is a gem. Walking distance from the boardwalk and restaurants and beach. The room was spacious and clean, and the pool was refreshing and the hot tub was delightful after a long day. What made our stay so special was that we were greeted by the manager Rita upon our arrival, who is delightful and funny and extremely accommodating. My husband and I look forward to going back for another fun weekend soon. »
