« We just came back from a Memorial Day weekend getaway at this wonderful location. Yes – it is peaceful, yes it’s a very short walk to Lake Tahoe’s beach, yes this was a retreat! Before arrival we received complete instructions on what to expect, how to use the 2 bed loft, how to access all the amenities, and how to check out. « We were all extremely impressed with The Hideaway and the thoughtful details that made our stay so easy and comfortable. From the amenities and incredibly comfortable beds to the fully stocked kitchen with every appliance and cooking tool we needed, everything was clearly designed with guests in mind. « The beds were comfortable with soft, clean sheets. The cabin was very clean. We enjoyed sitting on the deck. Keurig coffee pods are available for a large group. There is also a drip coffee pot available. The location is wonderful to explore Calaveras Big Trees State Park, the town of Murphys, and vineyards (especially Ironstone). A couple of things to know is you need to walk through one bedroom to reach another in the downstairs area. Also, there is no food/supply pantry in the kitchen. »

« This cabin was fabulous for ourselves, our kids and grandkids. The kitchen had everything we needed, the pool table and hot tub were a big hit, the beds were comfortable, everything was clean and in working order. Instant hot water was a plus! There was enough table and couch seating for our group of 8. It was a very all round comfortable place. The long driveway was perfect for our 3 cars. The owner was very helpful and responsive with suggesting activities and letting us know particulars...

« Host is very nice and great with communication. House is located downtown, and walkable to several things. Although a little bit older of a house, we found it to be clean, and beds comfortable. Hot tub was nice but at 70 when we arrived so it took a long time to heat it up. Only complaint was the kitchen was lacking in cookware, dishware (only 5 bowls for a house that sleeps 10) and kitchen accessories, but otherwise a nice stay. »
