Dirty, old, run down, no house keeping staff. Breakfast was old bread, old fruit and no meat. So "Horrible" we left. Staff did a great job with what they were given, no staff to cover anything.

Place smelled bad, room smelled bad, could hear people/noise from the other room, the sofa bed was dirty and couldn’t use it. And the breakfast was horrible, only bread, cereal and limited snacks, no hot food.

The room was dirty. It was missing the sofa couch which we needed. The room only had two towels lights didn’t work and fixtures were broken or missing pieces. The breakfast was pancake or cold biscuits with old sausage gravy.

There was no remote for the TV. Upon my request when I went to the front desk, the guy found me one remote after a long time of waiting and when I got to the room, the remote did not work. Jeeeez! I just let go and didn't bother further. The phone in the room did not work and I could not make complaints or get attendants attention from the room but I have to consistently go to the front desk. Worst still, there was no iron in my room. I went to the front desk to report it and I was promised one. It took so long to eventually bring it and sadly the iron does not work! So why did they bring us a useless iron and a useless remote? There was a technical issue processing my payment when we arrived for check in. I swapped my credit card and the charges taken my credit card but the attendant guy kept saying the money did not process and I need to pay or else I can't be checked in. This caused some arguement and much delay at the lobby without checking us in. I adviced them to make calls to their payment center because the money was already taken from my account. After a long time they came to me and confirmed that the payment went through successfully. This was not a good experience for me.

For a Third World experience, try this place. From our first encounter at check-in with a semi-conscious attendant to the first room we had where someone had defecated in the shower to the second where neither TV no lamp functioned, it was a disaster. Steer clear of this place.

I have stayed at this CI&S location for the past 10 years, each February when in town on business. My stay has always been comfortable and enjoyable. This year I found this location to be lacking in all departments. The air conditioner in my room was not working and the room was too warm which did not allow for restful sleeping conditions. There was no not water for a shower the first morning. The chair at the desk in my room was torn and the cushion was exposed. There was no one working at the breakfast station the first morning, there was no fresh fruit, no OJ, no yogurt, no bagels, the coffee was luke warm and the selection of food available was sub-par. The second night the AC was still not working, but I did have hot water for a shower the 2nd morning. There was someone working at the breakfast station the 2nd morning, so some of the basics were restocked, but the coffee was still luke warm (tasted like same carafe from the day before). When I was ready to check out, no one was at the front desk, so after waiting for a couple minutes, I just left the keys on the counter. I paid $250 for two nights ... I was very disappointed with my stay and will probably not stay at this location again.

First off, we switched rooms as ours was so noisy right above reception. The receptionist was lovely and not a problem. The bathroom was dirty and hadnt been cleaned. Bedroom was fine. There was only tepid water for shower in morning and no food for "included breakfast" no hot drinks, (coffee and hot water were both cold) and only had some pre wrapped muffins. Guy on reception apologized to us. Wont be staying here again no matter how cheap

Tiara literally held keys and would not allow paid patrons access to rooms through third parties. I would never recommend this facility to this ghetto establishment.

The front desk was awesome and very friendly. The hotel itself is much need of a make over. The sofa bed was horrible, uncomfortable, and dingy. The cabinets need to done and the refrigerator needed to be updated the room was as clean as could be.

I paid for a suite… the suite pull out couch was springs poking out. The side chairs looked like there was a fight with a knife. The room had to have a secret fight club meeting because stains all on the wall. Thank god I bring my own cleaning supplies that was filthy. I have stayed at this location and it was pleasant. The person checking me in always had rude comments when a customer or coworker said anything. Oh and I could not switch room due to it being full vacancy.

When I arrived I went to check in. I was assigned a room and proceeded to check in. I get to the room and it looked like something on skid row it was terrible. I told the front desk and the changed my room. To my surprise the 2nd room was even worse. The room had not been cleaned the bed covers were thrown on the floor. The chair cushions looked like they had been chewed on by dogs it was terrible. So I went back to the front desk to tell them I’m leaving they told me I would not be able to get my money back because I booked through a 3rd party. I asked for the manager and was told that one was not available. It was late and I needed a room and asked if someone could do something so they found a “clean room” and put me in there. But it was still bad: The whole experience was terrible. The worker who gave me such bad service was a young male. He definitely needs more training: And not to mention they don’t offer hot breakfast anyone per the front desk due to the owner being “cheap”. And they will eventually get it back but as of now they will only serve muffins and cereal.

My room had bed bugs, and I was refused a refund by the awful management, who refused to accept that their hotel was infested with pests. I suffered bites all over my arms, back, and hands. I was only asleep for about three hours before I woke up itching. Not to mention I showed up to no pillows and a barely functioning shower. This was an awful stay.

We immediately left the property without a refund. Room was horrific, including blood and other stains on a mattress. Lost money on this stay. The only saving factor was the kind desk clerk who is obviously not in charge of refunds or room cleanliness.

Truly a Gem of the South
Return trip from visiting family in NC, planned on getting to Orangeburg but just too tired, and we’re so thankful. Country Inn & Suites was the absolute best stay our whole trip. Wonderful staff, beautiful rooms, fantastic breakfast and a later check out than most hotels.

Staff was pretty nice and friendly, door acted up with me getting in even though it turned green and the breakfast was a very small option. Recommend you buy breakfast somewhere around. Also indoor pool was closed for construction or some odd reason. I wanted to go swimming.

We didn’t get washcloths the first two nights. Had to change rooms cuz the tv was broke. You could smell weed in the hallway. Trash not emptied for entire 4 day stay.

Gross stay away!
The most disgusting place ive ever seen! We saw the rooms and immediately went to the front desk for a refund, which was refused. The hotel also charged me twice and refused to give that back as well. We had to file a fraudulent charge with rhe bank to get it removed.

Everyone at reception were so nice and friendly. Didn't like the sheets and cover were stained and damage but besides that We loved it. Thank you very much

Other than the staff who assisted us in our stay nothing else is great about this property. Old property so it shows. Breakfast options were not much and rooms were not dusted in a while. Towels had dust and weird smell. This property can use a remodel and better cleaning.

No hot water the evening we arrived. Reported. Water warm, but not hot in the morning. Someone in the room above stomping on the floor most of the night. Front desk person good attitude and tried. Got the impression that Management? Owners? were inexperienced and did not really know what they were doing.

Staff was rude, unhelpful and dismissive. Indoor pool was closed. Breakfast had extremely limited options, a broken pancake maker, and moldy juice. The room heat and air was broken, and the threshold was completely missing and showing the concrete base floor.

The hotel needs a major upgrade furniture is stained and outdated the couch bed was worn out outdated and ragley lamps and microwaves not plugged up the breakfast was not all that great
