Second time I have stayed there. Inexpensive and basic. Lots of sketchy guests and a sketchy neighborhood. They do take good care of their flowers. Room fridge did not work and some of my cooler food went bad. Window had to be propped open for fresh air with a coffee cup. Would I stay again -- sure.
The first place I stayed at that charged for ice. The room was what you expect for the price the rugs were fifth and left your feet black on the bottom. There are a lot of shady characters but they left the cars alone. Wonât stay again for the simple fact that they charge for Ice really!!!!
Beware! All the photos are set up to hide how scary this place is. Itâs in a bad part of town and all the other patrons live there and are very scary. They were talking about my husband when they didnât know I could hear and were looking in our car windows and circling it. Could hear people rattling the fence behind our unit as well. We did not stay the night for our safety. Should have known when the office was locked with bars and had pit bull on chains. Even if we had stayed there was pee in the toilet and a shocking amount of food in the floor. Tried to talk to Expedia about it and they didnât care. Also called the motel several times and they wonât call us back. Which is not surprising as the front desk woman told us âdonât worry itâs not as dangerous as it looks, just donât leave your room!â
The pictures do not remotely represent the actual property. I thought it looked cute and retro, but it is run down and dirty. Itâs supposed to be nonsmoking (with signs about being fined) but our room reeked of smoke. We ended up sleeping in our clothes because we didnât trust the sheets to be clean, the blanket was stained and dirty (as shown in the picture). I will give them credit that the bathroom was clean at least.
We honestly would not have stayed there once we saw it, but it was late when we got in and we had to be up early and didnât have the energy to find a new place or try to fight them for a refund. For the life of me I donât understand how it has as high of a rating as it does.
Finally, people were walking past our room and the area didnât feel safe. Not really their fault but something to consider. We have stayed at cheap motels all of the country now, so it isnât like we had 4 star expectations, and this is the first bad review Iâve ever left. There must be better options in Colorado Springs.
Hotels.com actually had messed up. My reservation so when I got there I didn't have a reservation. But the lady still allowed me to get a room then she booked me to a room. Somebody was already in then she gave me even a better room but she said she would price match. She charged me $65 originally for the room that I wanted but she gave me the bigger room and made me feel like she was just doing me a favor because she had messed up. But really she end up charging me $78 and didn't even tell me that she was charging me extra which I thought wasn't very cool. The OnePlus is that there's no deposit, so if you don't like Dylan with deposits then this is probably your best bet. But there's not very much room for parking. It sucks and the rooms were very cold and it took a long time for the heat to come on.
Two concerns:
First, the room smelled like it had been smoked in for the past 70 years and only recently became non-smoking. We thought we could handle it, but it was nauseating. Second, the bed was just a pop up bed. Extremely uncomfortable. We honestly contemplated getting up and driving home half way through the night. We will not be returning.
Not the prettiest hotel in the world and this spot where it's located is a decent spot but it's kind of old and not up to date. But it was clean smelled like bleach which was a plus and it served my purpose. I have
Forget about the tiny, outdated rooms that barely fit the queen bed, or even the (lightly put) degenerates that occupy this place. The two minutes worth of luke warm water that comes out of the shower before running cold is absolutely unacceptable. 60 dollars a night for this dump. Nope
